摘要：The prent invention relates to a process for producing polymer beads incorporating solid particles and to the novel polymer beads per . The invention provides a process for producing polymer beads incorporating solid particulate material, which process compris producing a dispersion having a disperd pha including one or more monomers also including solid particulate material, and causing said one or more monomers to undergo a polymerisation reaction to form said polymer beads, wherein said dispersion further includes a solid pha dispersing agent for dispersing solid particles of material in the disperd pha and wherein said solid pha dispersing agent reacts with at least one monomer to thereby become chemically incorporated in said polymer. The polymer beads compri a polymer matrix having solid particulate material disperd substantially uniformly therein and wherein the polymer matrix incorporates a solid pha dispersing agent chemically reacted into the polymeric matrix.
