第五讲词类转换
词类转换包括把英语名词翻译成汉语的动词、形容词或者副词；把英语的形容词翻译成汉语的副词、动词或者名词；把英语的副词翻译成汉语的名词、动词或者形容词；把英语动词翻译成汉语的名词或者副词；把英语介词翻译成汉语的动词等。转换词性，就增加了词汇选择的可能性，从而达到丰富用词，增加译文的文采。
翻译下列句子：
1.scores唱歌，她最棒。
She is the best singer.
2. 我太太那时也在韩山师范学院教书。她教书比我教得好。
My wife was also a teacher in Hanshan Teachers’ College at that time. She was a better teacher than I was.
男子英文名3.她最会记仇。
She is the best hater.
4.从窗口可以看到学校美丽的图书馆。
A glance through the window offers a beautiful view of the college’s library.

一、 汉语动词转换
汉语中的动词使用比较频繁，因此在汉译英时，常常跟据具体情况将汉语动词转换成英语名词，有时汉语中修饰动词的副词也要随之转换。
1. 汉语动词转换成英语名字
（1） 汉语书名及标题中的动词常常转换成英语名词，例如：
《回忆毛泽东》 Reminiscences of Mao Zedong
《想北平》 Fond Memories of Bei ping
《话说短文》 A Chat about Short Essays
（2） 对人物的介绍说明，有时可将动词转换成名词，例如：
嫉妒的意思 他能喝很多酒。 He is a great drinker
他妹妹老是说谎。 His sister is a great liar
他长期以来习惯于在最后一分钟作决定 He has long been ud to last-minute decisions
(3)汉语动词连续出现时，可将其中的某个或某些动词转换成英语名词，如：
司机违反任何交通规则都要受到警察的罚款。
Violations of any traffic rules by the drivers will be fined by the police.
设计的目的在于操作自动，调节方便，维护简易，生存率高。
The design aims at automatic operation, easy regulation, simple maintenance and high productivity.
