First of all， let me say that | have been immenly impresd by the dedication and profession alism shown by the majority of our employees over the last two months in_ order to keep our operations going in such difficult
circumstances.
You would have en my message to you about the CAAC notice nt over the weekend. As I said in my message, we will comply with the CAAC notice in full.
I thought it important for me now to make a few more points.
We are all obliged to abide by law at all times. Cathay Pacific Group has a zero to leran ceap proach to illegal activities Specifically, in the current context, there will be disciplinary conquences or employees who support or participate in illegal protests The conquences could be rious and may include termination of employment.
I also want to touch on our conduct. We have a Code of Conduct as you know- it requires all of us as professionals to maintain our high standards. It also impos policies for example confidentiality and social media. We recently had employees
Disclosing confidential business information and that is a violation of the Code.That is just not acceptable.
As an additional point, it is important to remember that actions and words of our employees made outside of working hour scan have a significant effect on the company-we have a high profile in the community given the nature of our business and inevitably actions of our employees frequently attract attention and would be treated as that reprenting the company's position Our Social Media Policy also makes it clear that you should not post anything that breaches privacy of colleagues, constitutes bullying or harassment or could bring Cathay Pacific_ Group into disrepute.
Possible protest at HKIA today
Lastly, I want to bring to your attention that media reports are suggesting that there may be a protest at the Hong Kong International Airport today. To the extent it has not been authorid by the authoritiesthe protest will be treated as ilgal. It is there fore important that you do not support or participate in this protest. We would also be concerned abouyour safety if the protest becomes disorderly or violent.
We trust all of our employees to conduct themlveswith the same levels of respect, care and professionalism for which they are known. The majority of you have been - let's keep this up. Your continued hard work， can-do attitude and ongoing support for our customers and fellow colleaguesare at the heart of what we all stand for at Cathay Pacific Group.
