ThestudentspostedanarticlewrittenbysomeoneelwhostatedthatRobertE.Lee,aconfederategeneralduringtheUSCivilWar,shouldbecommemorated(纪念).AstheConfederacybrokefromtheUnioninordertokeepslaveryintheirstates,theywereusuallyenasracists.Thepostreceivedafloodofcommentsfrombothwhiteandblackstudentswithinminutes,andconversationsaboutthetopicspreadacrosscampusquickly.
