Freddy, go and find a cab. Do you want me to catch pneumonia?
Freddy
All right, I'll get one. [Freddy rushes in out of the rain from the Southampton Street side; He opens his umbrella and dashes off, but comes into collision with 黑龙江工程大学Eliza, who is hurrying in for shelter, knocking her basket out of her hands. Eliza

Freddy

Eliza [picking up her scattered flowers and replacing them in the basket]

Mother (walk towards to the other side)

Eliza

Eliza

The Gentleman

Eliza

Eliza

Eliza

The Note Taker
[Coming forward on her right, the rest crowding after him]
There, there. Who's hurting you, silly girl? What'd you take me for?

The Note Taker [overbearing but good-humored]
Oh, shut up! Do I look like a policeman?
Eliza [far from reassured]

The Note Taker

The Gentleman
