1. Introduction （课程简介）
The MSW Programme is a professional training programme for non-social work first-degree holders who are dedicated to develop their career in social rvices. Students are provided with intensive training in both academic theories and skills practice in multidisciplinary subjects. They would learn how to integrate and apply academic knowledge and skills into real-life situations within the social work context.
本专业为第一学历为非社会工作专业的学生提供专业训练，使他们可以发展自己在社会服务领域的职业方向。学生将受到在理论与技巧实践双方面的密集型训练，理论和实践包含多种学科。目的为了使学生可以学习如何将所学的知识与技巧整合并应用到社会工作的现实情况当中，
2. Mode of Study （修课模式）
2-year full-time programme 全日制两年
3-year part-time programme 兼职三年
3. Programme Structure （学科架构）
The curriculum involves two-year full-time or three-year part-time study. It will provide students with solid academic knowledge and professional skills for competent social work practice upon graduation.
课程包括两年全日制学习和三年兼职学习两种模式。通过为学生提供可靠的理论知识与专业技巧，使学生能够在毕业时充分掌握并具备较强的社会工作实务能力。
Students are required to take ten core cours to strengthen their basic knowledge in social work. The foundational cours include theory and practice of social work, social work rearch, social policy, social science theories, human behavior and social environment, abnormal psychology, law and social work, management of social rvices and practice training.
学生必须修满10门必修课程来强化他们的社会工作基础知识。这些基础课程包括社会工作理论与实务，社会工作调查研究，社会政策，社会学科理论，人类行为与社会环境，变态心理学，法律与社会工作，社会服务管理与实务培训。
To further enhance the students’ professional skills and academic knowledge, the students are required to take two practice electives
为了进一步丰富专业技巧与理论知识，学生还必须要选择两个不同领域的实务选修课。
Apart from academic studies and professional skills training, students have to complete 900 hours of field placement under the supervision of qualified and experienced social workers. They also have to complete a disrtation (or two additional electives) for graduation. Details of the curriculum design are listed as follows:

4. Admission 入学资格
To be eligible for admission to the cours leading to the degree of Master of Social Work, candidates
预申请本校社会工作硕士的申请者，须首先满足以下条件（a, b, c, d同时满足）：
(a) shall hold
取得学位 （i, ii至少满足一种）
i. a Bachelor’s degree with honours of this University; or
获得本学校的学士学位；或
ii. another qualification of equivalent standard from this University or from another University or comparable institution accepted for this purpo; and
上火原因获得其他具有同等资格的大学学士学历或其他有资历的机构认可的相关学历。

(b) shall comply with the General Regulations; and

(c) with qualifications from a university or comparable institution outside Hong Kong where the language of teaching or examination is not English are required (unless exceptionally exempted) to obtain
如原毕业院校为非香港的院校，其具备申请资格，但其教学和考试语言媒介不是英语的（特殊情况除外），应该取得以下英语成绩（i, ii, iii至少满足一种）：
i. a score of 550 or above (paper-bad test) or 80 or above (internet-bad test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL);or
托福550分或以上（笔试）；80或以上（网考）；或者
ii. a minimum overall band of 6 with no subtest lower than 5.5 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or
雅思总分6分或以上，各项成绩不低于5.5分；或者
iii. grade C or above in either
以下其中一项取得“C”或以上成绩
i. the Overas General Certificate of Education, or

ii. the International General Certificate of Secondary Education, or

● Professional Qualification 专业资格
Upon fulfilment of all the programme’s requirements, graduates may apply for professional registration with the Hong Kong Social Workers Registration Board.
满足所有本专业毕业要求的学生可以申请香港注册社会工作者资格。
The degree has an excellent record of international recognition as many of the graduates are practicing as professional social workers in the US, UK, Australia, China, Singapore and many other parts of the world.
