翻译技巧: 角度转换法

译文：我读过你的文章，但没料到你这么年轻。（不能说希望见到年龄更大的一个人）

（一） 英语肯定 汉语否定
(1) The proposal was carried by a very narrow margin.
译文2：这项建议差点通不过。
(2) As he sipped his coffee, he opened a still damp morning paper; and began reading. （damp＝slightly wet）狮子天秤
译文：他一面喝咖啡，一面翻开油墨未干的晨报，看了起来。
（3）The conclusion we reached in Britain is that change simply cannot nsibly be put off.我们英国人得出的结论是，改革是大势所趋。
★英语中有一些常用肯定形式的词，往往有否定的含义。这些词在翻译时一般要从反面进行翻译。它们包括：
动词：miss, neglect, fail, ignore, refrain (from), deny, refu
名词：failure, ignorance, abnce, lack
形容词：free, abnt, last, short
副词：too，otherwi
介词：beyond, above, before
连接词：unless, or
His ignorance in history resulted in his failure in the interview.
反语 译文：由于对历史一无所知，他未能通过面试。
The soldiers would fight to death before they surrender.
译文：这些战士宁愿战死也不投降。
His childhood is free from anxiety.
译文：他的童年无忧无虑。
Don’t count your chicken before they are hatched.
译文：鸡还未孵，不要先数。（不要过早乐观。）
译译看：
(4) As a place to live, it left much to be desired. As a cret training ba, it was an excellent site, its remoteness effectively masking its activity.
译文2：作为居住的地方，这里有许多不足之处，但作为秘密训练基地，却是非常理想的。因为它地处边陲，人们不易发觉其中的活动。

译文1：没有回音！没有回音！没有回音！
（二）英语否定 汉语肯定
(1) Such flights couldn't long escape notice.
译文2：这类飞行迟早会被人发觉的。
（2）His negligence was nothing less than criminal.
译文：你的疏忽简直是（无异于）犯罪。
（3）We could not be more mistaken.
译文2：我们大错特错。
(4) APEC will have to be non-discriminatory and it will have to ek to be open rather than clod in its approach.
译文：亚太经合组织必须一视同仁，而其态度上必须是开放的而不是封闭的。
译译看：
(5) China is too large and important a country to take such an actions without it being widely noted.
译文：中国是一个非常重要的大国，采取这种新动必定会引起广泛关注。
●“反说正译”李海瑗水浒传读后感300字尤其适合一些特殊句式的翻译，包括一些双重否定。如：not…until, no sooner than, hardly(scarely)….when, rather than, nothing but, cannot…too, cannot but 等等。
(7) Until she spoke I hadn’t realized she was a foreigner.
她要是不说话，我一直不知道她是外国人。
(8) One cannot be too careful while driving in the area.
译文：在该地区开车越细心越好。
(9) Nothing is so beautiful but (without) it betrays some defect on clo inspection. (betray=make known)
译文：再漂亮的东西，只要仔细观察，也会发现某种缺陷。
(10) I never pasd the theatre but I thought of his last performance.
每一次经过那家剧院，我都会想起他的最后一次演出。
译译看：

(五) 正反译比较
(1)The trouble is that other advanced economies aren’t healthy.(03/3)
正译：问题在于其它经济体并不健康。
反译：问题在于其它经济体存在弊端。
(2)We believe that the young generation will prove worthy of our trust.
译文：我们相信，你们年轻一代会值得我们信任。
译文：我们相信，年轻一代将不会辜负我们的信任。
(3) Father's attitude toward others ud to puzzle me.
翻译：以前我总弄不懂父亲为什么对别人采取那么个态度。
(5) You have roud my curiosity. And now you must gratify it.
译文：你既然激起了我的好奇心，就别再卖关子了。/中国古装色倩片别再吊我的胃口了。数据分析论文/别再遮遮掩掩了。
