摘要：A low input capacitance amplifier which can conveniently be ud to drive the guard electrodes of a highly nsitive capacitance proximity nsor circuit having a n electrode remote from its associated electronic circuitry. The circuit arrangement consists of elongate shielded electrical conductor having an inner conductor (12) coupled at a first end thereof to a n electrode (20) and having an outer shield conductor (18), a first unity gain amplifier (14) having an input, an output. A source of high impedance AC signals (10) coupled to a cond end of said inner conductor and to the Input of said first unity gain amplifier, and a cond unity gain amplifier (26) having an input and an output, the input of said cond unity gain amplifier being coupled to the output of said first unity gain amplifier (14). The output of said cond unity gain amplifier (26) is coupled to the collector of said first unity gain amplifier and to said outer shield conductor. Detection circuitry (16) is provided for detecting variations in said high impedance AC signals indicative of an object in proximity to said n electrode. The connection of the amplifiers (14,26) results in an arrangement in which the input capacitance for the amplifier is minimid.
