SPECIAL FIRE FIGHTING PROCEDURES
Beware, risk of formation of toxic and corrosive gas.
SPECIFIC HAZARDS
Fire emits clouds of smoke which may contain toxic vapours, gas and fumes. Carbon dioxide (CO2). Carbon monoxide (CO). Nitrous gas (NOx). Allylamine. Hydrocyanic acid.
PROTECTIVE MEASURES IN FIRE
Self contained breathing apparatus and full protective clothing must be worn in ca of fire.
PERSONAL PRECAUTIONS
Wear protective clothing (e Section 8). Avoid inhalation of vapours and contact with skin and eyes. Keep unnecessary people at a safe distance. Do not breathe dust. Ventilate to dispel residual vapour. Clean-up personnel should u respiratory protection, gloves, goggles and protective clothing and footwear. (e ction 8)
ENVIRONMENTAL PRECAUTIONS
Avoid discharge into drains, water cours or onto the ground. Contain spillages with sand, earth or any suitable adsorbent material.
SPILL CLEAN UP METHODS
Remove by vacuuming and place into clearly labelled containers for subquent disposal. (e ction 13)
Alternatively carefully remove by sweeping whilst wearing personal protection. (e ction 8)
Rin site with copious amounts of water, which should not be allowed into drains, wers or water cours. Provide bunding against water run-off.

ENGINEERING MEASURES
Provide adequate general and local exhaust ventilation.
RESPIRATORY EQUIPMENT
If ventilation is insufficient, suitable respiratory protection must be provided. U respiratory equipment with particle filter, type P2. If ventilation is insufficient suitable respiratory protection must be provided.
Seek recommendations and advice from equipment manufacturer or supplier.
HAND PROTECTION
U protective gloves. Wear suitable protective gloves conforming to EN 374.
The actual level of protection provided by protective gloves can be difficult to asss. Effective breakthrough times should be ud with care and a margin of safety shoulld be applied. HSE guidance recommends a safety factor of 75% be applied to times obtained by laboratory tests.
Seek advice from manufacturer or supplier.
Personal hygiene is a factor in effective hand care. Gloves should only be worn on clean hands. After using gloves hands should be washed and dried thoroughly and a non-perfumed moisturir applied.
