A suicidal person may not ask for help, but it doesn't mean that help isn't wanted. Most people who commit suicide don't want to die—they just want to stop hurting. So school, parents and friends all have the responsibilities to prevent the teens from suiciding.
Part1:The Role of the School in Suicide Prevention
Effective suicide prevention is integrated with supportive mental health rvices and positive school climate.
1. Provide supportive mental health rvices 湛江八景
School psychologists and other crisis team personnel, including the school counlor and school administrator, are trained to intervene when a student is identified that he has the risk of suicide. For example, school can t up a center for providing mental health rvices.
2.Create positive school climate
The entire school staffs should work to create an environment where students feel safe when sharing information. We can do it by giving a reasonable student behavioral expectations and developing a trustful student/adult relationships.
3.Organize crisis teams
School should organize a crisis team which includes teachers, counlors, social workers, psychologists and principals. The team helps to train all staffs to recognize warning signs of suicide and know how to help in a crisis situation. The team can also help students understand warning signs of violence and suicide.
Part2:The Role of the parents in Suicide Prevention
Parents can help prevent suicide by recognizing warning signs, identifying risk factors, promoting protective factors, and knowing how to talk to their children and ek mental health rvices.
I will introduce some preventive measures in detail to you here:
1.Interact with your teen positively
2.Increa his/her involvement in positive activities
3.Be aware of your teen’s social environment and communicate regularly with other parents in your community.
4.Communicate regularly with your teen’s teachers to ensure their safety at school
5.Limit your teen’s access to suicide tools,such as alcohol, prescription pills, illegal drugs
6.Explain the value of therapy(治疗)我的祖国诗朗诵 and medication to manage symptoms.
7.Address your concerns to other adults in your child’s life

Part3:The Role of the friend in Suicide Prevention
1.Know the warning signs!
There are five signs as follows:
NO1:Changes in personality: sadness,anxiety, exhaustion, indecision陕西专科学校
NO2:Changes in behavior: deterioration in social relationships and school , reduced involvement in positive activities

NO4:Changes in eating habits: loss of appetite, weight loss, or overeating

2.Do not be afraid to talk to your friends.
Listen to their feelings. Make sure they know how important they are to you, but don销售个人工作计划’报警声t believe you can stop them from hurting themlves on your own. Preventing suicide will require adults’ help.
3.Make no deals
Never keep cret a friend's suicidal plans or thoughts. You can not promi that you will not tell—you have to tell to save your friend!
4.Tell an adult
Talk to your parent, your friend's parent, your school’s psychologist or counlor-- a trusted adult. And don’t wait! Don’t be afraid that the adults will not believe you or take you riously—keep talking until they listen! Even if you are not sure your friend is suicidal, talk to someone. It’s OK if you “jump the gun”—this is definitely the time to be safe and not sorry!
5.Ask if your school has a crisis team
Many schools have organized crisis teams, which I mentioned above . If your school does not have a crisis team, ask your Student Council or faculty advisor to start a team.
