Godfather Death
A boy was given Death as his godfather when he was a baby becau his poor father thought Death was fair to everyone.
After the boy came of age, his godfather appeared to him one day and asked him to go with him. He took him out into the woods and showed him a herb that grew there, saying, “Now you shall receive your godfather’s prent. I will turn you into a famous physician. Whenever you are called to a sick person I will appear to you. If I stand at the sick person’s head, you may say with confidence that you can make him well again; then give him some of this herb, and he will recover. But if I stand at the sick person’s feet, he is mine, and you must say that he is beyond help, and that no physician in the world could save him. But beware of using this herb against my will, or something very bad will happen to you.” It was not long before the young man had become the most famous physician in the whole world.
Now the king’s daughter became riously ill. When the physician came to the sick girl’s bed he saw Death at her feet. He was so mad about the princess’s beauty and the thought of becoming her husband. He lifted up the sick girl and placed her head where her feet had been. Then he gave her some of the herb, and she recovered and became healthy again.
Death, eing that he had been cheated, approached the physician and said, “You are finished. Now it is your turn.” The physician immediately fell to the ground.
Summary
One beautiful day God was going to take a stroll in the heavenly garden, leaving only Saint peter to keep watch in heaven. God commanded him not to admit anyone.
Soon a dishonest tailor knocked at the gate and begged Saint Peter to let him in. Saint Peter knew of the tailor’s past, but moved by his plea, he granted admission to him.
Once inside heaven, the tailor walked around and sat down on God’s chair, where he cou
ld e what was happening on earth. Seeing a laundry woman stealing two scarves, he was to angry that he threw a footstool at her.教师个人成长档案
When God came back and found the footstool missing, he was very angry with the tailor. He said to the tailor that he would have lost everything if he had acted the way the tailor did. With the words, God had the tailor thrown out of heaven.

Dreams are the wind for our sails on the ocean. Dreams kindle a flame to illuminate our d
ark roads. Dreams protect our hearts. Martin Luther King had a dream — it was to have justice for all people. Lincoln had a dream — it was to t the slaves free. They sought their dreams and finally made them come true. I have a dream, which is to help tho people who need help. There are too many wars and disasters. We should save their lives so they can pursue their own dreams. As the lyric of a song goes, “We are the ones who make a brighter day, so let’s start giving.” Well, that’s my dream, a simple but meaningful dream.
Summary
When in high school, Monty Roberts was asked to write a paper about his dream. In the paper, he described his dream that someday he would own a large hor ranch. His teacher gave him an “F”, saying that Monty’s dream was unrealistic. The teacher said that he would reconsider his grade if Monty rewrote the paper. Monty thought hard about it for
a week before he finally turned in the same paper. He said to his teacher, “You can keep the F and I’ll keep my dream.”
