两种特殊情况下的强调结构

一、until的强调句结构
对句型强调时,要把not连同until短语或从句一起提前,写成It is/was not until … that…。如:
I didn’t realize that I had left my umbrella until I got home.
→It was not until I got home that I realized that I had left my umbrella.
直到我到家的时候,我才意识到我落了伞。
He did not start to study French until he was fifty.
苏有朋个人资料简介→It was not until he was fifty that he started to study French.
直到他五十岁了,他才开始学习法语。
He didn’t notice me until I spoke to him.
→It was not until I spoke to him that he noticed me.
直到我跟他说话他才注意到我。
二、强调句子谓语动词时,可以将助动词do(does,did)置于动词原形之前,来加强谓语动词的语气。如:
Who broke the window? 谁打碎了玻璃?
→Who did break the window? 究竟是谁打碎了玻璃?
Be careful! 小心!
→Do be careful! 千万要小心!
He enjoy drawing. 他喜欢画画。
→He does enjoy drawing. 他的确喜欢画画。
Be kind to your children! 请善待你的孩子!
→Do be吃马蹄的禁忌 kind to your children! 请务必善待你的孩子!

【例题1】It was ______ his mother came in ______ to prepare his lessons.
A.not until; did the boy begin B.until; that the boy didn’t began

【解析】句意:直到他妈妈进来,这个男孩才开始准备功课。首先排除B、C项,因为until引导的从句中谓语动词要用延续性动词,很显然came不是;因为本句中not until并不位于句首,所以主句不必倒装,故排除A项;选D项,本句是的强调句结构。

【解析】句意:直到我得到所有的信息,我才能做进一步的评论。本句是not until的强调句结构,故选B项。
