摘要：A breather package (30) for surgical elements such as sutures or suture-needle asmblies (32) having a layer of fibrous material (36) and a layer of plastic material (34) forming a pocket therebetween. Longitudinal heat als (42) and transver top (44) and bottom (46) als are provided which form the package (30). The layer of fibrous material (36) is provided with longitudinal strips of relea agent material (40) through which the longitudinal heat als (42) are formed. An apparatus (50) for forming such a package (30) is also disclod.
