RELEVANCE: WATER CUBE AND BIRDNEST BECOME THE LANDMARK OF BEIJING. THEY WERE BUILT FOR THE OLYMPIC GAMES 2008.
MAIN FEATURES: ETFE MEMBRANE SYSTEM HELPS REDUCE THE ENERGY COST. IT ALLOWS NATURAL LIGHT GET INTO THE BUILDING,
BUT ALSO REDUCES HEAT GAIN.
CONCEPT: BUBBLES IN SOAP LATHER. HEAVEN IS CIRCULAR (REPRESENTED BY STADIUM), EARTH IS RECTANGULAR (REPRESENTED
BY WATER CUBE) IN CHINESE TRADITIONAL CULTURE.
