摘要：In a plate producing apparatus which concutively produces a t of four plates, a wait time is conventionally obrved to await the feeding of a plate in an image recording ction in the ca where the t of plates is switched. In order to solve this problem, a multi-castte ction 14 horizontally moves a lected one of a plurality of casttes 31 to an autoloading ction 15. The autoloading ction 15 moves the castte 31 after undergoing the horizontal movement to a plate feeding position through up-and-down movements, retrieves a plate P from that castte 31, and feeds the plate P to an image recording ction 16. The image recording ction 16 winds the plate thus fed around a recording drum 36, records an image thereon by means of a recording head 37, and releas the recorded plate from the recording drum 36 so as to be ejected. While the image recording ction 16 is recording an image on the plate, a CPU 11 receives control information C associated with a next plate, and caus the multi-castte ction 14 and the autoloading ction 15 to quentially operate by using the control information C.
