1. Learn some new words and phras: safe, guilty, innocent, clue, suspect, proof, jump to conclusions and go to jail.
2. U the simple past ten to talk about what happened in the past.
3. Be able to get the general idea of the story by skimming and find out specific information by scanning.
4.Be interested in exploring the truth by reasoning.
Important and difficult points
1. To learn to grasp the main idea of the story.
2. To learn to improve the ability of reading by reasoning and judging.
