摘要：PURPOSE: To locate an abnormality on the tubular body of a cable accurately by an arrangement wherein a flexible cable for carrying an inspection probe is provided with a plurality of hollow beads being coupled while surrounding a centralcore member.CONSTITUTION: A part of a flexible cable 310 is arranged in the U-shaped bend region
110 of a tubular body 80 in a steam generator. The cable 310 is allowed to bend as it is moved along the inner surface 95 of the bend region 110 so that the ball joint of any two adjacent beads 360 associated with the cable 310 is folded back in the tubular body 80. Conquently, the first end part 390 of the bead 360a faces the cavity 410 of an adjacent bead 360b and the cond end part 400 thereof is engaged with the intermediate part 415 of the bead 360a. Conquently, further movement of the end part 400 is retarded and the rotation of the bead 360b is stopped. This arrangement prevents the cable 360 from being overlapped in the tubular body 80.
