My plan for future career
When millions of young people leave school, they begin an independent life. Some of them start working, go into business, some of them continue schooling to receive a higher education.
Our lives are made up with many aspects such as work, family, relationship, recreation and others. Basically, careers which are about working lives are major part of our lives. It could be the determinant to our lives’ status, achievement in what we wanted in life. Thus, a career development plan is important which allows us to have a clear picture about prent and future development.
First of all, it is necessary that personal career objectives have been t up, it could be short, medium or long term. Then follow by lf – asssment, a process of gathering information of personal values, interests, personality, and skills in order to make an informed career decision. Next is the planning stage and actions to be taken in order to achieve tho objectives.
In my opinion, I think a career is a lifetime journey of building and making good u of skills, knowledge and experiences. It is the foundation of a bright future. Career should not just be something I must partake in order to make a living. It should be something that motivates me, allowing my mind to be challenged at times and be the heart of my passion and aspirations in life. My career satisfaction can be fulfilled by personal growth which allows me to develop my full potential, eking to learn, change and develop mylf. Another element is recognition which allows me to earn the respect and recognition of others.
Young people can learn about professions in magazines and advertiments. Magazines for teenagers often offer questionnaires, quizzes or surreys to help young people to find out what their interests and abilities are more clearly and to make a decision concerning their future occupation.
While choosing a career you should take into consideration main demands that you want your future profession to meet: the profession must be interesting, you have to be sure of
your future (that means that you will be able to find a job after graduation from the university), a profession must be well-paid, otherwi you won’t be able to support yourlf and your future family.
During our school life we begin to think about our future life, our job. There over 2000 professions in the world, so it is quite difficult to choo and to make a decision. Some follow their own choice and some follow their relation’s, teacher’s, parent’s advice, becau they can guide them and help to make a decision concerning future plans. I have never had a question, what I am going to do when I graduate from my school. I have known from childhood that I want to be a linguist. I have chon this profession, becau a knowledge of foreign languages and foreign cultures is growing in importance nowadays. Foreign languages are needed as the main and the most efficient mean of information exchange between the people of our planet. Although there are 3000 languages, English is the most universal. It is the language of progressive science and technology, trade and cultural relations, and business. It is the universal language of international aviation, shipping, sports, medicine. English is the official language in nearly
forty countries. It is spoken by more than 350 millions people and also spoken as a cond language in many parts of India and Africa. Besides, millions of people study English as a foreign language . In our country English is very popular. It is studied at schools, colleges and universities.
It is important for me to learn English becau I want to know what is going on round me in the world. With recent advances in technology, the world is changing rapidly in many fields, such as business, arts and medicine. The changes will affect me soon and its important for me to read and keep up with the changes. In fact, learning English is the answer to a lot of the things that I need and want. And I can’t help mentioning the quotation: Every man is the maker of his own fortune.
In conclusion I would like to say it is an advantage to choo our future career while at school. It gives us a goal to work towards and enables us to choo a right, suitable cour of study. I’d like to mention also that if we don’t think about our future, nobody will think for us, so we just can’t have one. We must work hard to archive out ambitions and to realize our wishes, becau future is purchad by the prent.
I am currently pursuing a foundation cour in Leadership and Management and have an opportunity to work with a non profit organisation (Church) in the area of Pastoral care and mentoring youth. My purpo for this personal statement is to reflect and draw on conclusions from the experiences of my work related ca studies and how this may inform my professional development.
During my work bad practice, I dealt with veral ca studies such as: conflict management, problem solving, decision making, critical thinking, pastoral care, discrimination, Equality and Diversity issues, as well as leadership and management. As mentioned by Rodney (1960); the acquisition of knowledge is empowerment which I viewed as a vehicle for professional and personal development.
I have gained knowledge and skills from ca studies, which enables me to resolve conflicts between staff and employers. In a particular situation, the lack of proper mediation could have lead to legal repercussions and heavy cost to both sides. In resolving conflicts, understanding the various view point is important. I am a good mediat
or. I am able to negotiate and arbitrate, becau I can sustain a dialectical engagement, listen without being judgemental and weigh issues on their merit. This skill facilitates conflict management and resolution. I am confident such skills would be beneficial in any aspect of conflict in an organisation.
