The Rising Divorce Rate
Until now, I do not believe that the phenomenon of flash divorce happens around me. One day in the last year, I went to the school for visiting my mother. In the schoolyard, Miss Yang slouched past me with her head dropping. It was so weird. As usual, she would warmly greet me. I asked my mother for the reason as soon as stepped into her office. She winked at me. Later I knew the reason. Miss yang divorced after marrying for just one month. The reason of divorce is unbelievable. Later another similar event happened. Contrasting the ca of Miss Yang, the ca below is more unbelievable.
Parents of my best friend divorced after finishing more than 10 yeas’ discord. They have married for 22years. Now I want to ask why they do not divorce earlier. According to the, my mother just sighed, “The youthful persons are so impetuous and immature. To my surpri, the old couple is more rious.”
Above two is nothing to speak of comparing with 2.26million—national divorce rate.
Divorce ems to become a social phenomenon --- fashion in the recent years. Only for the Beijing district, the divorce rate is 50.9% in this year. Comparing with the last year, the rate increas by 8.1%. Why this happens?
Firstly, I should distinguish keeping a romance from marriage. The biggest difference is a matter of responsibility or obligation. In my view, the main cau of rising divorce rate is lace of responsibility. The sweet lovers never think that marriage is a rious thing. It is not just a legal paper. It, as a fruit tree needs couples’ great care to bring the tree to blossom and producing sweet fruit. In the modern society, everyone have right to ek for liberation of personality. In fact, the extreme point of liberation is lack of responsibility. The lovers love each other deeply when they are keeping romance. As soon as stepped into the doorsill of marriage, they find their dream---career, study, liberation detained by heavy obligations and responsibility from family, becau you live lonely no longer.
The ultra-marriage love steps the top reason of divorce according to the social su
rvey. In my view, it is another way for couples evading the heavy burden of marriage. The boring and pale life lead couples to ek freshness from the ultra-marriage love.
Another aspect of responsibility refers to problem of maintaining the family. The cond top reason of divorce is economic problem. Not having enough money may bring stress and quarrels to the family. For example, if a husband cannot earn enough money to maintain his family, he may lo lf-confidence. Day by day, he may become testy and make the gap much larger. It is possible that the wife despis the poor and curries favor with the rich. They would divorce.
Secondly, we have to refer to the flash marriage focusing on the youthful persons. They get marriage hastily though they don’t know each other enough. As time go on, they find that their mates have too many defects that they could not endure. As a result, they are always carping at each other until flash divorce.
Thirdly, in the modern society, women have enough money to live by themlves. It
means that they depend on men no longer. Divorce makes no difference. On the other hand, the women accept the education, so they have no intention of acting as the accessories of husband. They have rights to ek for the liberation of human nature, too.
This year Chine political advisor put forward a precious suggestion about making the procedure of divorce complicate. The easy procedure of divorce may lead to high divorcing rate. I appreciate the proposal. It can effectively hold back impetuous couples.
This alarming increa rate should be taken riously. Families have been undergoing great changes in the influence of modern lifestyle. In addition, the rising divorce rate affects the different aspects of society. The whole society should pay more attention to people’s wedded life.
