摘要：PURPOSE:To obtain inexpensively color stainless steel having high corrosion resistance and an arbitary color by plating a cold rolled stainless steel sheet with Cr and by subjecting the plated sheet to annealing-thermal diffusion in an oxidizing atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:A cold rolled stainless steel sheet is plated with Cr or a Cr alloy contg. >=1kinds among Mo, V, W and P, and the plated sheet is annealed at the recrystallization temp. -1,000 deg.C in an oxidizing atmosphere. The Cr- freed surface layers of the stainless steel sheet are supplied with Cr, and the layers are rather enriched with Cr, so a high-quality stainless steel sheet having high corrosion resistance is obtd. By this method, color stainless steel who color can be changed from golden yellow to brown, purplish red, blue, purplish blue or black by regulating the annealing atmosphere, temp. and time can be inexpensively manufactured.
