顺应理论论文：顺应理论 《荆棘鸟》 汉译
【中文摘要】澳大利亚著名作家考琳麦卡洛的长篇小说《荆棘鸟》自问世以后,不仅走红美国,与《教父》同为美国十大畅销书；而且迅速成为风靡全球的“国际畅销小说”,被称成为澳大利亚的《飘》。译者曾胡的汉译本现在最流行。目前,学者对《荆棘鸟》的研究大都是文学层面的,翻译方面的研究很少。一直还没有对这个作品从顺应论的角度进行全面系统的研究分析。顺应论是由比利时语用学家维索尔伦所提出的。语用顺应论指出,在言语交际中,受到语言内和语言外各种因素的影响,语言的使用是一个不断做出选择和顺应的过程,这种选择和顺应可能是有意识的也可能是无意识的。马卡龙做法
翻译作为两种不同语言和文化的一种交际活动,也是一个不断做出选择和顺应的过程,其是顺利实现两种不同语言和文化的移植。在语用顺应论的框架下,顺应性主要体现在四个方面：语境因素顺应,语言结构因素顺应,动态顺应过程和顺应过程中的意识突显程度。本文主要从这四个方面探讨译者曾胡在翻译《荆棘鸟》时所做出的选择和顺应：第一,在语境因素方面,对译语读者的物理世界、社交世界和心理世界的顺应；第二,在语言结构因素方面,译者对语言语音、词、句子、语篇、语体、各个层面的顺应；第三,在动态顺应方面,译者怎样根据语境的变化作出相应的语言选择；第四,在意识的突显方面,译者是怎样根据翻译、译语读者的元语用意识和反应等因素作出顺应的。本文在语用顺应论的

tation. Within the framework of this theory, the Chine translation of The Thorn Birds is mainly studied from the four aspects. As far as the contextual correlates are concerned, the adaptation to the target language readers’physical world, mental world and social world is studied. On the structural correlates, adaptation at the phonological level, lexical level, syntactic level, discour level and style is studied. On dynamic adaptation, how the translator makes dynamic language choices according to the context is discusd. On the salience of adaptation, the focus is on how the translator makes adaptation bad on the translation purpo, the target language readers’meta-pragmatic awareness and the target language readers’respon. This thesis is a tentative study of Zeng Hu’s Chine translation of The Thorn Birds in an attempt to explore the feasibility of the adaptation theory in explaining the translation activity.
