雾都孤儿英文读后感 篇1
Oliver Twist is written by Charles Dickens.
Charles Dickens is one of the greatest writers in the England.
He was born in a poor family, but later he became famous and
rich. The famous novel --A Tale of Two Cities is written by him,
too.
This novel shows us the cruelty and crime of London. Oliver
Twist, the hero, is a poor orphan. He lived in a life filled with
taunts. Nobody loved him. With visions of his future, he decided
to go to London. He thought a new life was coming, but he was
wrong, a group of thieves were waiting for him.
The author created a group of bad men.
Fagin, an old man, with a horribly ugly face and red hair, was
the head of tho thieves. He tried to make Oliver be a criminal.
Bill Sikes was a cruel and evil man in the group. He had a bad
temper.
Monks, Oliver’s brother, did bad things to hurt Oliver. He
wanted to get the legacies left by his f手势语言
ather alone. He paid Fagin
to trap Oliver into a life of crime. In fact, they were all afraid of
being put into prison and being hanged. They can’t live happily.
Nancy, a poor girl, loved a bad man. She had to help Bill Sikes
perpetrate, becau she loved him. She had to be loyal to the
criminal group, becau she loved him. Actually, she was kind.
She helped Oliver at the risk of her life. If she hadn’t fell in love
with Sikes, she would have a happy ending.
The author showed the ugly things to us, he described an
ugly world. But there are more kind people in the novel.
Mr. Brownlow, an old friend of Oliver’s father, took good
care of Oliver.
Mrs. Maylie, Harry Maylie’s mother, saved Oliver of his life.
Miss Ro is the aunt of Oliver, in fact.
They all protect Oliver from hurt.
Oliver was unlucky to meet so many evil people, but 更矮的英文
he was
luckier to get help from so many kind people.
In the end of the novel, all the evil people were punished.
Oliver got what he should get. Ro married Harry Maylie and
they lived happily. All the kind people have a happy ending.
Righteousness can always beat evil. I think this is what the
author wants to tell.怎样练习唱歌
Although there are many ugly things in the
world, we must believe that righteousness can always beat evil.
We must工作设计
store kindness even though we are in ugly situation.
One is poor if he doesn’不是我说你
t have kindness. One is rich if he has
kindness. So plea store your kindness in your mind.
What’s more, the novel also tells us to be brave. Oliver was
brave enough to overcome all the problems he had met. No
matter how difficult the problem is, we can’t give up, we must
try our best to solve it.
From Oliver Twist , I have learnt a lot .It’s really a good novel.
雾都孤儿英文读后感 篇2
The author who himlf was born in a poor family wrote this
novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of tho
cruel criminals and to expo the horror and violence hidden
underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London. The hero of
this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a
world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such
as hunger, thirst, beating and abu.
While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was
shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same
time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as
was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually
conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end.
One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft五脏六腑结构图
,
little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie
and Ro and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or
Ro read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if
he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and
poverty. How can such a little boy who had already suffered
oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason
is the nature of goodness.
I think it is the most important information implied in the
novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every
difficulty. Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I诗经取名女孩

雾都孤儿英文读后感 篇3
One of Dickens most enduringly popular stories is Oliver
Twist, an early work published 1837-8. Like many of his later
novels, its central theme is the hardship faced by the
dispossd and tho of the outside of tolite society. Oliver
himlf is born in a workhou and treated cruelly there as was
the norm at the time for pauper children, in particular by Bumble,
a parish council official or eadle The story follows Oliver as he
escapes the workhou and runs away to London.
Here he receives an education in villainy from the criminal

artful Dodger and Nancy, Bill whore. Oliver is rescued by the
intervention of a benefactor - Mr Brownlow - but the mysterious
Monks gets the gang to kidnap the boy again. Nancy intervenes
but is murdered vici初中数学听课记录

redeeming qualities and has discovered Monk sinister intention.
The story clos happily and with justice for Bumble and the
cruel Monks who has hidden the truth of Oliver parentage out of
malice. Accusations were made that the book glamorid crime
(like the ewgate Group of the period) but Dickens wily
disassociated himlf from criminal romances. His achievement
was in fact in prenting the underworld and problems of
poverty to the well-off in a way rarely attempted previously.

雾都孤儿英文读后感 篇5
Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I
have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes
and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my
exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and
the lfishness of the cular world for a long time. It is truly what
I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British
author Charles Dickens.
The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not
only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the
novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep
inside. The supreme resources I’m talking about right now are
somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention.
They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual
stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another ——
love and care.
Tho charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel
are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to
others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth,
which was carved into my heart deeply.
Mr. Brownlow is one such person.
雾都孤儿英文读后感 篇6
How can such a little boy who had already suffered
oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason
is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important
information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that
goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think
goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that tho who are kind-
hearted live more happily than tho who are evil-minded.
For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary
character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to
fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person.
On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, The fragrance always
stays in the hand that gives the ro’, he who is with goodness
undoubtedly is a happy and uful person. People receiving his
help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he
has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has
helped and himlf.
To my disappointment, nowadays some people em to
doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look
down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of
people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy
to tho who are in trouble and ldom offer to help others. On
the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In
their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and
morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their
‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with
trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the
sorts that I really detest.
Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and
dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the
Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing,
no better than a kind of vermin鱼骨
.’
