Eight other pandas left the Chengdu Rearch ba on May 18. They will take China Southern Airlines (CSA) to Beijing. They will travel on a Boeing 747-700 plane with bamboo and water. and they will stay at the Beijing Zoo, said Wolong director Zhang Hemin. “There is enough water now, but food is still a big problem. The pandas need bamboos and apples.” Zhang Hemin said. After the earthquake, the center needed lots of bamboo shoots, apples, eggs, milk powder and medicine, she said.
