is of great fun and others think that smoking can refresh themlves.

Smoking caus many illness. A lot of people always cough becau

Meanwhile smoking is a waste of money. Besides, careless smokers may

In order to keep healthy, we should get rid of the bad habit of

Is Watching TV a Good Thing

Television has changed people"s life much since it was invented. Now

it has e an important part of modem life.

People enjoy themlves after hard work by Watching TV. They can

e some plays, some stories,some sports matches without going out of

home, and without spending much money in buying tickets. TV

programmes make people"s life more interesting.

People learn much from TV. Students can study by watching some

educational programmes. People can e news, weather reports;

programmes about science and puters. People all over the world can learn

from each other and get knowledge when they are watching TV.

But not all the progranunes are ,good enough. Today, there are too

many programmes about xy and crime. Some young people e bad

becau they learn from the bad people in tho programmes. And

watching TV usually takes too much time. It"s not good for people"s work

People all over the world are watching TV. Is watching TV a good

U of Free Time

With the working hours ing shorter and shorter and holidays ing

The u of free time often disclos much about one"s tastes, values,

interests and personality. Some may take to the humanities: literature,

magic, art, and they might be interested in movies and television. Others

participate in sports, politics, voluntary work or hobbies at home. Still

Obviously, the u of free time is a good means of relaxation, but its

benefits go beyond this. All things people do in leisure hours enable them

Weekends to people mean that people can have two days" rest. They

can go out or get together at home.

Everybody spends weekends in his own way. Some people relax

themlves by listening to music, reading in libraries or doing sports

outdoors. In a word, different people have different relaxations.

I often spend weekends with my family. Sometimes my parents take

me to visit our relatives. Sometimes we go swimming or go dancing and

sometimes I go to read some instructive books. I often enjoy mylf at

weekends.

like watching football matches. They can"t sleep or eat when their teams

The day was sunny, but I was in a bad mood. At the ing party I Would

It is not difficult to explain the reason for their surprising amount of

interest in famous people’s lives. They are in the spotlight，renowned or

everything about them. To satisfy their curiosity，or “the people’s right to

know”，journalists often find it their duty to report their activities.

More over，what matters to a newspaper or a magazine is the

number of readers. A large readership means the ri in the circulation of

their publications，hence a huge profit. Since film stars and pop singers

are newsworthy figures，and their stories draws far more attention than

tho of other people，it is natural that the press tries to attract them to

buy their magazines by featuring private lives of famous people.

unhappiness to them. To escape reporters，they can’t even lead a normal

behind the group I was traveling with and got lost. To make matters
