《三国演义》英文读后感
Recently I have read a famous Chine classical novel-The romance of the Three
Kingdoms and I felt benefit a lot。 Let me tell you about my feelings。
The romance of the Three Kingdoms is one of the four great Chine master pieces。 It
was written by Luo Guanzhong, who was born in 1330。 It describes nearly 200
characters and tells the story from the late Eastern Han dynasty to the unified of Jin
dynasty。
The minute I started to read this book, I was deeply impresd by the ntence at the
beginning of the novel: "The empire, long divided, must unite; long united, must
divide。" It is so philosophical。 It reflected the main history of the Three Kingdoms,
from the rebellion of the Yellow Turbans to the replacement of the division of the
country into Three Kingdoms (Wei, Shu and Wu) by the Jin Dynasty。 In the periods,
it showed a lot of heroic deeds, and what the heroes did had made a brilliant history。
In this novel, the hero I admire mostly is Guan Yu, the general of Shu。
"A man of enormous height, nine spans tall, with a two-foot-long beard flowing from
his rich, ruddy cheeks。 He had glistening lips, eyes sweeping sharply back like
tho of the crimson-faced phoenix, and brows like nestling silkworms。 His stature
was imposing, his bearing awesome。" This is Guan Yu's appearance。 He was called
as hero not only becau of his handsome looking, but becau of his precious
characters。
He is the embodiment of loyalty, wisdom and bravery。 Once, when Guan Yu was
having a battle with Cao Cao (the Master of Wei), he lost connection with Liu Bei(the
Master of Shu), and finally he had to surrender becau Liu Bei's family was with him。
Cao Cao appreciated Guan Yu's talents, he provided a fabulous palace and lots of
money to Guan Yu。 Despite Guan Yu was taken good care of in the Cao Cao’s camp,
but his heart was still with the Liu Bei’s camp。 He had never given up looking for his
master。 As soon as he got the news of Liu Bei, Guan Yu had forced five pass and
slew six captains, finally he found his master。 His behavior showed not only his
loyalty to his master but also his bravery。
Admittedly, Guan Yu's death is also a lamentable。 Becau of his placency, he
looked down on the army of Wu, lost Jingzhou (an important City), finally, he
flopped, and was killed by his personal enemy。
With his personal likes and dislikes, regardless of the conquences, it led to the
disruption of the alliance between Wu and Shu, the whole situation was changed
greatly。
Guan Yu’s lesson tells us: No matter how talented you are, you’d better remain modest
and be humble。
This is a great novel that depicts the countless legendary stories。 We can learn not only
the characters of the heroes, but also the political and military strategies。 It is a best
way to experience the profound Chine ancient culture。

小王子英文读后感《A Book that Impacted Me Most》
I don’t remember the exact year I first read The Little Prince 。 Though the golden snake
in the book plays a cameo role , I never forget the scene that he flashed kisd gently on
the little prince’s ankle。 It made me be afraid to reread this book。
Later, I listened a Michael Wong’s song named Fairy-tale Story, the prince in his
song is different from the prince in The Little Prince, the prince in the song is the same
as Andern’s tales’ princes, they all have happy endings。
However, I think The Little Prince is a sad story。 There is a saying: There are a
thousand Hamlets in a thousand peoples eyes。 Now, let me talk about my reading
feeling。 This simple story flies over every corner of the world: a pilot (the narrator) who
had an accident with his plane and crashed in the Dert of Sahara then he met the little
prince from the planet B-612, and the narrator listened little prince’s travel experience
of ven planets。 On the ven planets, he met a variety of persons。 They are the
king, the conceited man, the businessman, the tippler, the lamplighter, the
geographer and so on。
The Little Prince is a story belongs to adults who have childlike innocence。becau
children don’t understand the little prince’s deep sadness。This is not so much a fairy
tale, as it is a tragedy。 This story tells the grow-ups’ world is full of empty, lost and
loneliness with kids’ perspective。 Among the story, the alcoholic is impressive。 He
was surrounded by a pile of beer bottles when the little prince saw him, and prince
asked him why he is drinking, but he answered he want to forget his shame of drinking。
This short planet visit plunged little prince into deep puzzled。 He think the grow-ups are
certainly very, very odd。 In kids' eyes, beautiful things must look with heart。 But
the adults pay more attention on things’ appearance that is just a shell and they don’t
believe the eyes are blind and the heart is true。
Through this story, it also made me understand what’s the love---love's more mineral,
more den, more bitter and more weighty than the earth's profoundest matter。
When I first read The Little Prince, I can’t understand the mean of love and never to
think why should the little prince leave alone since he love his ro so deeply。 For years,
I reread the story and think about it。 The simple true was first love。 The little prince
didn’t know how to love and It was difficult to make him understand the ro’s heart,
so it may lead to misunderstanding and hurts from time to time。 He leaved his planet
becau he can not accept the ro and himlf。
This is why the little prince don’t know he have to leave : at that time, he had no idea
he was in it。 The little prince don’t understand the meaning of tame until he met the fox
later。 Then he produced the endless yearning for the ros and realized his
responsibility。
"Do you want to be domesticated?" For me, this is a profound question。 In the book,
the little prince met a fox and invited the fox to play with him, but he was refud。
The fox told him that he was not tamed。 “what does that mean--tame?” little prince
asked。 The fox answered:” it means to establish ties: to me, you are still nothing more
than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys。 And I have no
need of you。 And you, on your part, have no need of me。 To you, I am nothing
more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes。 But if you tame me, then we
shall need each other。 To me , you will be unique in all the world。 To you, I shall
be unique in all the world。”
Gradually the little prince was beginning to understand, becau he remembered his
ro and he thought his ro had tamed him。 So he cho to go back to his planet in the
end。 But to the fox, the little prince’s farewell will make her sad, but the hurts
becau of love, she should learn to accept it gradually。 I believe there are full of
hurts within rious and true love。
As long as the little prince flied to different planets and met a variety of persons can he
understand himlf andhis ro。 So I think traveling is a good way to experience life。

力与户外英文读后感
I have got a lot of interesting scientific knowledge from the books of National
Geographic Reading Expeditions, some of which are about life, physics。 I really
can’t help losing mylf in the colorful pictures and clear words in the books。 After
reading the books, I have been considering a question: What if we lived without science?
Great changes have taken place in the world with the help of science。 In the past, life
was nasty, brutish and short。 It is hard to imagine how our forefathers could do
without so many conveniences that modern science brings about。 Back then, only a
small group of people enjoyed the very few forts。 But the majority of people didn’t
even have sufficient food, let along their privilege to be educated。 Anyway, it is
science that changes the world and makes people’s life better and better, although it
also leads to some bad aspects at the same time。
From the discovery of the gravity to the first step on the moon, we human beings have
experienced a long process of developing science。 And now, this process is still
continuing much faster。 New organisms are already being engineered, and new
genetically modified crops promi benefits from higher yields and less u of harmful
chemicals and so on。 A lot of examples are showing this point。 In the future,
changes are likely to be even much greater as science reaches out to shape life itlf。
Maybe one day, the possibility that life existed on Mars billions of years ago will be
potentially one of the greatest discoveries of our time。 It is the force of the petition,
we human beings’ inquiring mind and initiative that bring about the non-stopped
development of science。 Therefore, it is difficult and impossible to prevent science
from changing the world and our life as well。
At prent, we are in two minds about science。 On the one hand, we are enjoying
the sweet life as a result of the evelopment of science, and expect it to continue。 And
we are showing our interests into some scientific expeditions, such as the astronomy,
the alien civilization, etc。 On the other hand, we are distrustful of it, due to the
lack of understanding of science。 Some people thus far are still very superstitious, and
they would even believe in superstitions rather than believe in science。
Stephen Hawking, one of the most remarkable scientists in the world, once said, “In
a democratic society, the public needs to have a basic understanding of the science, so
that it can make informed decisions and not leave them in the hands of experts。” This
has reminded me of Professor Alan G。 MacDiarmid from America, the person who
got the Nobel Prize for chemistry in the year of XX。 In his lecture at Peking University
this year, he put forward that science is people。 He also expounded the importance of
the basic science for the public。 Evidently, every one of us does need science, or we
can’t live without it。
Now that everyone needs science, why not take advantage of some means to give the
public the right basic scientific knowledge? So when they face the problems such as acid
rain, the greenhou effect, nuclear weapons, environment destruction and some
other problems, they can also make informed decisions on the subjects, just as what
Hawking said。 One aspect relies on what is taught in schools。 But science is often
taught in an uninteresting way and most students just learn it by rote to pass examinations。
However, the final goal of learning science is not to pass examinations or to get a
higher score; instead, we should try to make full u of it to change our world and life。
While learning, we should try to ask more questions and we should have the courage of
suspecting the knowledge in the books, as some of the scientific conclusions are likely
to be corrected in the future。 Who knows。 So not only must we change our attitude
towards science, but also the way of teaching and learning scienc
e。
In addition, science is always changing at a fast rate, and who we learn at school isn’t
that sufficient to last a lifetime。 So the mass media including TV, radio, newspaper,
magazine and publishing pany will play an important role in reporting the latest science
in time。 Moreover, the mass media can also popularize basic science to the public,
becau only in this way will more people realize what on earth science is。
“Scientists and engineers tend to express their ideas in the form of equations becau they
need to know the preci values of quantities。 But for the rest of us, a qualitative
grasp of scientific concepts is sufficient, and this can be conveyed by words and
diagrams, without the u of equations”, said Stephen Hawking。
I agree with him very much, and, I’m fond of the wonderful words above, from
Stephen Hawking。
For the development of science, are you ready?

哈利波特英文读后感
I've just fininshed reading the first 4 Harry Potter books for about the 5th time through,
and they're just as magical and affecting as they have ever been。 Everything is in here:
suspen, adventure, mystery, humour, danger。 There's even some pretty
satisfying paybacks。 The characters are fantastic and fantastically realistic。 There are
bad people who turn out to be good guys and good people who turn out to be bad guys,
just like life。
I think the thing I like best about the books is the message that it's okay to be different -
to be not "normal。" I would love for everyone in school to have hear that message。 It
would probably reduce the bullying around the school。
The books value real thoughts。 Much has been made of Harry's rule breaking, but
only once in the ries so far does he break a rule for arbitrary personal gain。 Most of
the time he makes a decision that what's right is more important than what's written。
And you know what? Life's like that sometimes。 I think it's great that kids are getting an
example of how to do what's right even when it involves breaking rules。 The Potter
books also show that there are conquences for rule breaking。 If not getting caught and
getting a detention, then a spell going wrong and someone getting turned into a cat。
This shows that when you make a decision to go against the rules that things may not go
as you expected and you have to take responsibility for the oute。

英文读后感 篇十二
A Book of All Times
——Thoughts given by Sherlock Holmes and the Duke’s Son
Written in the first chapter of the book Pride and Prejudice is an extraordinary ntence
of which even a person who has had only a brief look upon the book will not fail to
receive a deep impression-It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in
posssion of a good fortune must be in want of a wife。 In terms of Sherlock Holmes,
we’d better alter the ntence into “It is a fact universally accepted by readers throughout
the world that an excellent book in posssion of our famous detective Sherlock Holmes
is undoubtedly a masterpiece of all times。” Perhaps this is one of the most obvious
explanations for the unrivaled popularity of “Holmes ries” in the field of detective
stories。 Overwhelmed by the remendations provided by my friends, I decided to take
a look on this Sherlock Holmes and the Duke’s Son originally published by Oxford
University Press。
As a whole, this book is about a ca concerning the Duke’s missing son。 Arthur,
the Duke’s son, was found out in a certain morning to have disappeared, acpanied
with which was also the disappearance of the German teacher。 The school master Dr。
Huxtable then turned to the famous detective of the time Sherlock Holmes for help。
Realizing how tough and important the ca is, Holmes immediately made up his mind
to accept the ca and followed Dr。 Huxtable back to Mackleton by train。 Having
formed a rough idea about the whole matter, Holmes probed into the ca immediately
and had a careful investigation of the entire area shortly after the arrival, during the
process of which he discovered the body of the German teacher Heidegger。 Finally,
primarily due to his prominent ability as a detective, he managed to unravel the mystery
and obtained the twelve thousand pounds promid by the Duke。
Having once started reading this fiction, I was pletely immerd in the mysterious story
prented by the book。 As the saying goes, “Well begun, half done”。 At the
beginning of the story, just like many other detective stories, the author gives us a
brief description of the condition by the words of a client。 However, unlike other ones,
this story first delineates the client’s strange behavior at length to indicate the verity of
the incident in order to attract the readers to continue reading it。 As is known to all,
vivid depiction is esntial to detective stories since it can help the readers understand
each figure’s characteristics and visualize the scenes, thus making the story more
authentic and attractive。 Therefore, trying to prent a “real world” to his readership,
Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of the original “Holmes ries”, has skillfully
arranged the plots of the whole story from the perspective of Dr。 Watson, a character
not so specialized in discovering the truth
hidde
n behind the enigmatic happenings as Holmes but so loyal to Sherlock Homes as a friend
that he always acpanies Holmes wherever he goes。 In this way, he elaborately
depicted every scene and character in the book, Apart from the special start, the
ending of the whole story, being dramatic but reasonable, is certainly an outstanding
one。 After all, except the author himlf, who knows that the Duke’s emingly
ordinary cretary is in fact the Duke’s bastard? In addition, who knows that the Duke
actually has already been acquainted with the whole thing before Holmes solves this
plicated problem? Yet, surprising as it is, this ending ems so natural that it fits all
the plots of the story perfectly well。 While enjoying this wonderful story, I could do
nothing but admire the wonderful design of this masterpiece as well as the author’s
gorgeous writing skill。 Closing my eyes, I can even “e” the story happening just
like watching a film。 Not until then did I understand why the Japane carto
on fi
lm Detective Conan ud this “Conan” as the name of its hero。
As far as I am concerned, nothing is more admirable and surprising in the hero
Sherlock Homes than his profound knowledge which has certainly assisted him a lot
when he was studying the ca。 Take the bicycle tyres for instance, Holmes actually is
capable of recognizing 42 different varieties of bicycle tyres。 What’s more, according
to his other stories, Holmes has studied different kinds of newspapers, cigarettes,
people’s footprints and other special things as well。 Therefore, he ems to have the
mastery of anything relevant to the cas he deals with。 Except for his illimitable
knowledge, Holmes also specializes in arranging the facts in order and then finding the
fact leading him to a GREat discovery or even the truth itlf。 From his speaking
“Every mystery has an answer”, we can readily shape the impression of a man with
great intelligence and inflexible will。 In this ca, after getting rid of unrelated facts,
Sherlock Homes eventually grasped the clue and discovered the amazing f
act。
Needless to say, as a world-renowned masterpiece, Sherlock Holmes and the Duke’s
Son has attracted and is still charming numerous readers from all corners of the world
and people from all walks of life。 The “Holmes ries” has already t up a standard
against which all the following detective fictions are measured。 Sherlock Holmes,
beyond all doubt, has bee a name firmly rooted in people’s memories。 Although Dr。
Watson’s closing The Ca Book of Sherlock Holmes in 1927 was a GREat pity to the
readers, the discontinuance of the entire “Holmes ries” may have actually added to
the legendary stature of Sherlock Holmes。

《麦田的守望着》英文读后感
I have never thought so thin a book which is called The Catcher in the Rye can influence
me so much。 It makes me feel very impressive。 And after reading this book, I have
aroud many thoughts about it。
In today's literature world, The Catcher in the Rye is to be recognized as a modern
classic。 After reading this book, adults can increa the understanding of teenagers;
young people can increa the understanding of their future life。 No matter whom after
reading this book will improve their ability about to be vigilant against the reality。 It
also can make you choo one lf-reliance way to your future easily。
This book told us a profound significance story。 The of this novel Holden hated all the
hypocritical things and really wanted to pursuit the pure reality at first。 Becau of the
development of his society, he finally submits to the development process of the social
reality。 It deeply show the loneliness, loss, pain of younger generation which is
grow up after the World War II in U。S。
Well, I think that though Holden ud to eing the reality of Bourgeois society, and
he must promi with realistic society in the end, he also have many courage to have a
try to rebel against the hypocritical world。 This spirit should be t up if we want to
improve the process of the world。
Now, we live in a country, which is in great reformation, and everything in the
process of changing development。 Well, with the development of our country;
people's thought also is in the change。 At the same time, many people's thoughts start
confusion and depression。 They forgotten their initial dreams and have no enthusiasm
gradually。 So, in the end, they began to yearn for mediocrity and have nothing to do。
Perhaps we can learn from this book to find our own shadow。 To a certain extent that it
reflects many characteristics of the adolescents, and we can also e the dark side of the
society。 With the material's progress, the spiritual world is inevitably producing some
changes。 At that time, what we need is a change which can make our dream into a
reality。 Therefore, what we should do is not to hope, not to wait, not to plain,
but from now on, just start from your own efforts and watch your initial dream。 You'd
try your best to create the life you want with your own hands。

《小王子》英语读后感
This story’s name is “The little prince”。 As it known to all, we will encounter a lot of
difficulties, even hardships。 Different people may have different ways to deal with
them。 After reading The Little Princess, I am deeply impresd by Sara’s way to deal
with difficulties。 The Little Princess was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett, a
famous novelist and dramatist。 Sara, the heroine of the novel, was born in a rich
family。 In order to get a better education, her father took her from India to London so
that she could go to the best school。 Becau Sara was kind-hearted, generous and
most of all—rich, she was loved by everyone。 All went well until her father died in an
accident。 Everything changed pletely。 She didn’t understand why the teachers and
classmates treated her so badly。 Even the principal who ud to be fond of her, made
her work 16 hours a day。 Sara’s mirable life began。When I finished reading the
book, I was shocked by what the unimaginable pain Sara had suffered
after her father’s death。 She ud to be a happy, worriless, and rich Princess, but
now she was a lonely and poor rvant。 She had to work very hard without any rest but
only had little food。 Besides she had to endure the unfriendly and even rude ways that
her classmates treated her。 All teachers and students in the school looked down upon
her。 The most important fact is that Sara had lost the love and care of her parents。What a mighty pain! If you were Sara, could you stand such pain? Needless to say, an
11 years old girl, even if it were an adult, he might not put up with it。 But to my
surpri, Sara faced it bravely。
Despite of the torture of the principal and all tho pressures above, she still was
optimistic towards life。 By reading this novel, I felt inspired and think much。 When
we meet such difficulties, what should we do? Some people always plain that the fate is
unfair to them。 Some people can’t sustain the hardships and choo to give up。 Few of
them even try to mit suicide becau they lack the courage to overe it。 Compared with
Sara—an eleven years old girl who can treat the pressure of life with optimistic spirit,
the people’s performances are sounded so lamentable。 Why can’t they make
it?However, what impress me most are her characteristics and the thought of her “being
a real princess。” This “real princess” does not mean luxury palaces, beautiful clothes
and the apple of the others’ eyes, but being kind, generous and having good manners。
It is unnecessary for “a real princess” to be strong in body, but she must be strong in
will。 Sara is a real princess in my heart all the time, whethe
r she was rich and wore beautiful clothes in the classroom or she was cold and hungry in
the attic, just becau she had the good characters and kind heart。 The story went on。
Fortunately, a friend of Sara’s father found her and told her that her father left a great
sum of money to her。 I pray and believe that every good person in the world derve a
good result, and of cour, we are the same。

I have never been to Troy, but David Maule made me feel as if I were standing on the
high wall of Troy, watching the fierce war。 Thanks to this British author, who
adapted the famous Homer’s poem into a lively story, I found it easier to understand
this story。
Though the story happened over 3000 years ago in a remote place, I was deeply
fascinated by it。 The mysterious plot is one of the reasons why I loved The Story of
Troy so much, yet I am more interested in the human heroes of the war。
Hector was the eldest son of king of Troy, Priam。 He was not only a real hero of
Trojan, but was regarded the highest moral hero in Greek classic by later historians。
The war started becau of the mischief of his brother, Paris, whom he didn’t
appreciate。 However, since Hector was the mander of the Trojan army, he was
obliged to fight with all force。 It was really a tragedy that such a valiant man died in the
duel with another great warrior, Achilles。
It is natural to e death in a war。 As a famous Chine parable says, “A life can be as
slight as a piece of feather, or as weighty as Mount Tai。” Sometimes, one’s glory
walks hand in hand with one’s doom。 Achilles was such a typical person。 His
personal charm made The Story of Troy more attractive。
He was so crucial becau his every appearance in a war encouraged his fellow soldiers
and terrified the enemies。 Actually, Achilles was half-god who was almost invincible
in people’s mind。 That’s why his name was memorized long after his death。
Besides the two great men, the wisdom of Odysus also proved him to be a great hero。
He didn’t want to attend the war becau he was happily married and had a lovely son。
However, since his country was allied to Mycenae, he had to take the mand given by
the king of Mycenae。
I’m quite sure that the story of the wooden hor is widely known, however, few
people know who thought of the brilliant idea, that’s why I admired Odysus so much
becau he was the person who got the idea。 Thanks to the hor, the ten-year war
came to an end at last。 If you want to know how the wooden hor worked, just read
the book。
The ancient Greeks believed that the gods and goddess also played important roles in
the origin, process and ending of the whole story。
The story of the golden apple was such an example。
When Eris, the goddess of argument and disagreement, threw out the golden apple to
a wedding ceremony on Mount Olympus, a dispute happened。 Hera, the queen of
gods, Athena, the goddess of wisdom, and Aphrodite, the goddess of love and
beauty, were all involved in the argument for the apple。
None of them was willing to give way, so they turned to Paris for a final judgment。
Tempted by Aphrodite’s beauty and promi, Paris handed the apple to her。 To keep
her word, Aphrodite helped him to get Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world,
as his wife。 That was the cau of the war。
Paris’s choice obviously annoyed the other two goddess。 So during the war, they
helped the Greek alliance army while some other gods, such as Apollo and Aphrodite,
guarded Troy。
When Paris dueled with Helen’s former husband Menelaus, Aphrodite saved Paris
when he was about to be finished off。
After the duel between tho two people, there was a truce between the Greek alliance
and Troy。 However, both Hera and Athena were not happy to e it。
Hera pursued her husband ZEUS:“ Now, will you nd Athena to make the Troyjans
break the peace?”(Page 22) Then with Zeus’s permission, Athena went down to start
the war again and finally she brought the Greeks to success。
From the whole story, we can e that in ancient Greeks’ view, gods sometimes
played a much more important role in their life。 However, with the rapid development
of science, we have learned that the Greek gods never existed。 This is why a recent
movie of Troy has not mentioned a single god。
Everything happened due to men’s ambition, love, loyalty or jealousy。 With tho
emotion and people’s effort, we human beings can acplish wonders and be master of
the world。
God are of less importance than they ud to be。 Nonetheless, the gods and goddess
made The Story of Troy more mysterious and marvelous。
I have learnt from the book more than the wonderful story of history, love and war。 I
believe that human can determine their destiny by their own。 I highly remend this book
to my friends with the same interest。
