读英语小说的读后感(精选14篇)

After reading this wonderful story, I can feel love, brave, deep

friendship and some other good spirits in the people.

The Scarecrow wanted some brains, but on the way to the Emerald City, he

thought out of a way to cross the river. The Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave,

but when they met the river, he carried other friends to jump across it. And

the Tin Man wanted a heart, he said he couldn’t love, but he didn’t want to

hurt any animal.

In fact, they all have the things they want: the Scarecrow is clever, the

Cowardly Lion is brave and the Tin Man is kind-hearted.

Scarlett , a very personality figures ,the two mans she love ,neither does

she know her, I was pelled to admire, admire duhougan. her strong and

brave, admire her to lay down in the environment, farm workers previously

suffered education, admire her to disregard the munity to create their own

expression of the cau .She is in the whole story, all a person full of

fighting will full of vitality . I appreciated most , it is this " Tomorrow is

another day of hers. " . Promising forever, full of fighting will , will never

give up, never desperate. I think Im moved by , whenever I meet

difficulty, the mood is not good, I will tell onelf : " Tomorrow is another

day. " Gone with the Wind is absolutely a good book that is worth sampling

repeatedly, the characters are graceful , the plot ris and falls, exciting

boldly and unconstrainedly, though the subjective factor becau of the author

among them , the appraisal on U.S.A.s Civil War is not objective and overall,

but as

to angle of literature, this one fine piece of writing generation

definitely absolutely, worth visiting.

On summer vacation of this year, I studied in novel " old man and a " of

Hemingway , famous writer of U.S.A. ,. I admire the old fishermans will in the

novel very much, he lets me understand that a person must have unremitting

spirit, could succeed .

Man is not made for defeat, ,a man can be destroyed but he can not be

defeated. Gently closing the book "the old man and the a",I cant help

thinking . In real life, encountering difficulty is unavoidable, the most

important is to confront and have perverance so that we can learn from

failure.

This story’s name is “The little prince”. As it known to all, we will

encounter a lot of difficulties, even hardships. Different people may have

different ways to deal with them. After reading The Little Princess, I am

deeply impresd by Sara’s way to deal with difficulties. The Little Princess

was written by Frances Hodgson Burnett, a famous novelist and dramatist. Sara,

the heroine of the novel, was born in a rich family. In order to get a better

education, her father took herfromIndia to London so that she could go to the

best school. Becau Sara was kind-hearted, generous and most of all-rich, she

was loved by everyone. All went well until her father died in an accident.

Everything changed completely. She didn’t understand why the teachers and

classmates treated her so badly. Even the principal who ud to be fond of her,

made her work 16 hours a day. Sara’s mirable life I finished

reading the book, I was shocked by what the unimaginable pain Sara had

suffered after her father’s death. She ud to be a happy, worriless, and

rich Princess, but now she was a lonely and poor rvant. She had to work very

hard without any rest but only had little food. Besides she had toendure the

unfriendly and even rude ways that her classmates treated her. All teachers

and students in the school looked down upon her. The most important fact is

that Sara had lost the love and care of her a mighty pain! If you

were Sara, could you stand such pain? Needless to say, an 11 years old girl,

even if it were an adult, he might not put up with it. But to my surpri,

Sara faced it bravely.

Despite of the torture of the principal and all tho pressures above, she

still was optimistic towards life. By reading this novel, I felt inspired and

think much. When we meet such difficulties, what should we do? Some people

always complain that the fate is unfair to them. Some people can’t sustain

the hardships and choo to give up. Few of them even try to commit suicide

becau they lack the courage to overcome it. Compared with Sara-an eleven

years old girl who can treat the pressure of life with optimistic spirit,

the people’s performances are sounded so lamentable. Why can’t they make

it?However, what impress me most are her characteristics and the thought of

her “being a real princess.” This “real princess” does not mean luxury

palaces, beautiful clothes and the apple of the others’ eyes, but being kind,

generous and having good manners. It is unnecessary for “a real princess” to

be strong in body, but she must be strong in will. Sara is a real princess in

my heart all the time, whether she was rich and wore beautiful clothes in the

classroom or she was cold and hungry in the attic, just becau she had the

good characters and kind heart. The story went on.

Fortunately, a friendof Sara’s father found her and told her that her

father left a great sum of money to her. I pray and believe that every good

person in the world derve a good result, and of cour, we are the same.

I have never thought so thin a book which is called The Catcher in the Rye

can influence me so much. It makes me feel very impressive. And after reading

this book, I have aroud many thoughts about it.

In todays literature world, The Catcher in the Rye is to be recognized as

a modern classic. After reading this book, adults can increa the

understanding of teenagers; young people can increa the understanding of

their future life. No matter whom after reading this book will improve their

ability about to be vigilant against the reality. It also can make you choo

one lf-reliance way to your future easily.

This book told us a profound significance story. The of this novel Holden

hated all the hypocritical things and really wanted to pursuit the pure

reality at first. Becau of the development of his society, he finally

submits to the development process of the social reality. It deeply show the

loneliness, loss, pain of younger generation which is grow up after the World

War II in U.S.

Well, I think that though Holden ud to eing the reality of Bourgeois

society, and he must promi with realistic society in the end, he also have

many courage to have a try to rebel against the hypocritical world. This

spirit should be t up if we want to improve the process of the world.

Now, we live in a country, which is in great reformation, and everything

in the process of changing development. Well, with the development of our

country; peoples thought also is in the change. At the same time, many peoples

thoughts start confusion and depression. They forgotten their initial dreams

and have no enthusiasm gradually. So, in the end, they began to yearn for

mediocrity and have nothing to do.

Perhaps we can learn from this book to find our own shadow. To a certain

extent that it reflects many characteristics of the adolescents, and we can

also e the dark side of the society. With the materials progress, the

spiritual world is inevitably producing some changes. At that time, what we

need is a change which can make our dream into a reality. Therefore, what we

should do is not to hope, not to wait, not to plain, but from now on, just

start from your own efforts and watch your initial dream. Youd try your best

to create the life you want with your own hands.

--Thoughts given by Sherlock Holmes and the Duke’s Son

Written in the first chapter of the book Pride and Prejudice is an

extraordinary ntence of which even a person who has had only a brief look

upon the book will not fail to receive a deep impression-It is a truth

universally acknowledged that a single man in posssion of a good fortune

must be in want of a wife. In terms of Sherlock Holmes, we’d better alter the

ntence into “It is a fact universally accepted by readers throughout the

world that an excellent book in posssion of our famous detective Sherlock

Holmes is undoubtedly a masterpiece of all times.” Perhaps this is one of the

most obvious explanations for the unrivaled popularity of “Holmes ries” in

the field of detective stories. Overwhelmed by the recommendations provided by

my friends, I decided to take a look on this Sherlock Holmes and the Duke’s

Son originally published by Oxford University Press.

As a whole, this book is about a ca concerning the Duke’s missing son.

Arthur, the Duke’s son, was found out in a certain morning to have

disappeared, accompanied with which was also the disappearance of the German

teacher. The school master Dr. Huxtable then turned to the famous detective of

the time Sherlock Holmes for help. Realizing how tough and important the ca

is, Holmes immediately made up his mind to accept the ca and followed Dr.

Huxtable back to Mackleton by train. Having formed a rough idea about the

whole matter, Holmes probed into the ca immediately and had a careful

investigation of the entire area shortly after the arrival, during the proceof

which he discovered the body of the German teacher Heidegger. Finally,

primarily due to his prominent ability as a detective, he managed to unravel

the mystery and obtained the twelve thousand pounds promid by the Duke.

Having once started reading this fiction, I was completely immerd in the

mysterious stor.

this winter, I read the book of Robinson Crusoe, their captors.

Article describes multiple sailing in the whole island, Crusoe masters of

extraordinary survival 28 years experience, strive for survival, show the

ingenuity and a man with indomitable perverance in the face of hardship

persistent existence desire, the lonely and eager to rescue the mood. In a

lonely island overcome Robinson was done with fear, a savage and said he was

"on Friday, they get along with each other, then built on Friday, Crusoe one

kind of warm friendship." I also enjoy the disclosure of the business concept:

Crusoe each sailing and adventure has clear commercial purpo, with his own

property and calculating profit, he will also onelf life the island is his

territory, in addition to reveal its economic thought, I admire John Robinsons

rich, more learning his strong initiative and spirit of adventure, early

efforts, hard work, and perfect kindness thought!

The Scarlet Letter offers an extraordinary insight into the norms and

behavior of the 17th century if American Puritan society. The basic conflicts

and problems of its main characters, however, are familiar to readers in the

prent. The female protagonist, has borne a child out of wedlock and has been

jailed for over three months and ntenced to wear a symbol of her adultery, a

scarlet “A” on her dress at all times. It concerns about the moral,

emotional and psychological effect of the sin on people in general. Its not

simply a love story or a story of sin. The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel

Hawthorne us the scarlet letters to symbolize the harshness of Puritan

society, showing how they brand sinners for life.

The story happened in Boston about 200 years ago. It narrates love affairs

between three persons. The punished woman. Hester Prynne and his husband. Who

called himlf Roger Chillingworth . He is an old misshapen man and a doctor.

Hester does not love him at all. Another man is a young minister, Dimmesdale,

who has a high position among ministers and is highly respected among his

people in town. Hester and Dimmesdale love each other. But their love is

forbidden in that time . It is sinful. Due to this,Hester is punished by

society with a letter A on her chest, which considered an evil, a shame.

In this novel, the mainline ems to be around the letter A. Hester is

brave enough to face the cruel reality. She is always with a mind of courage.

She has been alone with her child for so long , with litter communication.

Shame! Hopelessness! Loneliness! Hester has to wear the letter A day after day,

ven years as for punishment and ill fame.

When a woman has lived through a difficult experience, her character

changes a great deal. If she be all tenderness, she will die. If she survive,

the tenderness will leave her .Hesters charitable deeds and quiet humility

have earned her a reprieve from the scorn of the community. The letter on her

chest reprents her work on earth , always helping others, without expecting

any thanks. Never afterwards, does that scarlet letter leave her chest. The

townspeople no longer view the letter as a punishment , but rather as

reprenting her great strength and bravery and thy say it means “Able”.

But Arthur Dimmesdale, his sin against Hester and Pearl is that he will

not acknowledge them as his wife.

Beowulf is the oldest poem in the English language and the most important

specimen of Anglo-Saxon main stories are bad on the folk

legends of the primitive northern tribes.

Beowulf is the nephew of king of the Geats who lives in Denmark. He

defeated the monster, which raided the hall built by the king of the Danes.

Later on, Beowulf becomes king of the Geats. He at last dies a heroic death.

It is a pagan poem, which prents us an all-round picture of the tribal

society.

17th century English related witchcraft superstition is extremelyrious,

many everybody becau are accud but to suffer in vain forthe sorcerer the

fatal disaster. This small story is Zhan Nite abouther whole family pitiful

bitter experience narration. Zhan Niespecially told this story the time is in

1634, at that time her onlythen 9 years old, becau are actually accud to

imprison for thesorceress in the Lancaster castle jail. Before this her

maternalgrandmother,he mother and elder brother are all treated as thesorcerer

to execute.

Sen and Sensibility was the first Jane Austen published. Though she

initially called it Elinor and Marianne, Austen jettisoned both the title and

the epistolary mode in which it was originally written, but kept the esntial

theme: the necessity of finding a workable middle ground between passion and

reason. The story revolves around the Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne.

Whereas the former is a nsible, rational creature, her younger sister is

wildly romantica characteristic that offers Austen plenty of scope for both

satire and compassion. Commenting on Edward Ferrars, a potential suitor for

Elinor‘s hand, Marianne admits that while she "loves him tenderly," she finds

him disappointing as a possible lover for her sister. Soon however, Marianne

meets a man who measures up to her ideal: Mr. Willoughby, a new neighbor. So

swept away by passion is Marianne that her behavior begins to border on the

scandalous. Then Willoughby abandons her; meanwhile, Elinor‘s growing

affection for Edward suffers a check when he admits he is cretly engaged to

a childhood sweetheart. How each of the sisters reacts to their romantic

misfortunes, and the lessons they draw before coming finally to the requisite

happy ending forms the heart of the novel.

Though Marianne‘s disregard for social conventions and willingness to

consider the world well-lost for love may appeal to modern readers, it is

Elinor whom Austen herlf most evidently admired; a truly happy marriage, she

shows us, exists only where n and nsibility meet and mix in proper

measure.

Sherlock Holmes impression management the bizarre in the world of

literature, many of them staged a variety of Gallery of characters, but there

is one person, make me have to look up to, he is Sherlock Holmes.

Believes that his story is familiar, his thousands of smitten Fu fan, even

contact"s friends will also be less mystery novels praid for his unique

personality. Holmes"s calm, wisdom and courage, suspenful storyline was

reflected in a compact head. His keen powers of obrvation and clo

reasoning and analytical ability, is able to detect the ca Foundation, and

unlimited number of readers are good reason for fans of the world. He was very

learned and well informed, caring qualities of patience, the pursuit of truth,

adhere to the principle, is where I admire.

It is often said, and three people in the world is remembered becau of

Sherlock Holmes. First, Arthur Conan Doyle, and the cond, Watson, and a

third is jielimibulaite, who played Holmes.

But I think this is bad.

Becau the detective, people remember even liking the most spectacular in

England, dusky dark London streets, low-energy official stupid discussion,

even Professor Moriarty and Sherlock yoga. From prying eyes out of different

nationalities, different time frames and local customs.
