自从我国在巴丹吉林沙漠深处建起酒泉卫星发射中

心，就有了一条横穿戈壁、直达发射场的300公里的专用铁路。它是现在全国惟一一条由军队管理的铁路。路边上，孤零零有几座被称为点号的小屋，点号四周，沙海无边，荒凉得象月球，只有几丛骆驼刺在寒风中颤抖。点号里，就蹲着三两个长年巡线护路的兵。他们每天与外界交往的时间是一分钟。因为每天有趟军用列车路过这里，扔下点邮件和给养，停留一分钟。这就是他们见到人的惟一时刻。日复一日、年复一年的寂寞，这一分钟也就成了他们久久盼望的、也是他们最最高兴的时刻。
