很高兴今天能在这里和大家分享一些我对于人生的想法。

I'm honored to be standing here at Stanford University, a place that

has produced some of the greatest minds and ideas in the world. It's

through the work of people like you that society progress, and I'm

humbled to be in such esteemed company.

我非常荣幸能站在这个位置，在斯坦福大学这个孕育着世界上最伟大头脑和思想的地方与大家分享一些我对人生的看法。正是有如你们这样杰出的个体，社会才得以进步，我站在这里感到无比谦卑。

I'm not here to give you the usual commencement speech filled with

cliché advice. Instead, I want to share with you the story of my own

unlikely journey.

我今天并不是来给大家颁发毕业演讲，提供一些陈词滥调的建议。相反，我想和大家分享我的个人不太可能发生的旅程的故事。

I didn't get here by accident. I credit my success to three things:

first, having a life-long passion for learning; cond, having the good

fortune to be in the right place at the right time; and third, having a

healthy do of lf-reliance.

我并非偶然来到这里。我认为我的成功归功于三件事：首先，对学习终生的热情；其次，在正确的时间和正确的地点的好运气；第三，保持一定的自我独立性。

Let me start with the first point: I've been incredibly lucky in my

life to have parents who loved me unconditionally and raid me with an

almost religious zeal for education. My father is a biologist and my mother

is a teacher, and they both instilled in me a love of learning that has

stayed with me always.

让我从第一个观点开始：我一生中非常幸运地拥有无条件爱我的父母，他们以一种几乎宗教般的热情抚养我长大，培养我对教育的热爱。我的父亲是一名生物学家，我的母亲是一名教师，他们向我灌输了终生热爱学习的习惯，这一点一直伴随着我。

Secondly, I had the good fortune to be born in a time and place where

opportunities abounded. The United States of America is the land of

opportunity, and I'm grateful for being able to take advantage of it.

第二点，我很幸运出生在一个充满机遇的地方和时代。美利坚合众国是充满机遇的土地，我很感激能够利用这个机会。

Finally, I'm a firm believer in the importance of lf-reliance. The

truth is that no one can do everything for you. You need to have a healthy

amount of lf-confidence to believe in your own abilities and take risks.

And while it may be difficult to find your own path, remember that even

if you don't end up where you thought you would, you'll still end up

somewhere great.

最后，我坚信自力更生的重要性。事实上，没有人能为你做所有的事情。你需要有健康的自信心来相信自己的能力和冒险。虽然找到自己的道路可能很难，但请记住，即使你没有到达你曾经想过的目的地，你仍然会在某个地方变得伟大。
