I know you are fond of swimming. A river lies not far away from

my home. We can go swimming there. I think it would be very

pleasant and refreshing to swim in such hot summer days. In

every big room of my home there is an air-conditioner. We can

watch TV, play CDs or read books very comfortably at home. A

mountain about two miles away from here is beautiful and it is

worth touring. We can go there on foot. When we climb to the

top of the mountain, we can have a wonderful bird-eye view of

The aside resort of Qingdao extends from Tuandao in the

west of Qingdao to Damaidao in the east with an overall length

of 25 kilometers, including a marine area of 5 square kilometers

and land area of 8.5 square kilometers.

State Council in 1982.

The scenery of the Zhanqiao Pier, Luxun Park, Little Qingdao

Isle, Xiaoyu Hill, Badaguan, the ashore and the May Fourth

sights of Qingdao.

Zhanqiao Pier: Zhanqiao Pier, built in 1891, is the symbol of

able to make a holiday trip to places of interest. While many like

to join package tours fro convenience， I prefer to travel on my

own.

I like travelling on may own not only becau it costs much

less but becau it gives a great degree of independence and

freedom. Travelling on my own， I’m my own boss； and can

decide when to start on my way， where to linger a little longer

and which spot can be skipped over to save energy or time for

another spot. I can always adjust my plan. On the contrary， in a

package tour you‘re deprived of as much freedom as in a

military ba. At the sound of the whistle， you have to jump up

from a sound sleep and， with heavy-lidded eyes， hurry to the

gathering place where you are collected and counted to board a

coach. At the sight of the little flag waving， you must

immediately take yourlf away from the scenes you are
