My Imaginary Trip Around the World

If someone offered to pay all my expens for a month＇s

holiday anywhere in the world, I would feel very surprid and

excited. It would be difficult to decide where I wanted to go.

Should I go to one place or lots of different places? If I went to

one country, I could e and understand a lot about it. If I went

to lots of countries, my holiday would be more interesting and

more exciting. I think I would decide to fly around the world and

to visit three different countries. The countries I would visit would

be Australia, the United States of America and Kenya.

If I went to Australia, I would stay there for about two weeks.

so different from my own. Before I went there, I would write one

of my Australian friends. I would suggest that if it were possible,

University. While I was visiting Australia, I hope I could also e

If I went to the United States I would stay there about a week.

I expect I would start by visiting New York. I have heard that New

York is a very exciting city. I imagine that there are lots of

interesting things tourists like very much, that the buildings are

greatly out of the ordinary and that the food is very varied③.

After I had stayed two or three days in New York, I would fly to

San Francisco. I hope I could stay with my relations who live there

and I would visit the city and other parts of California.

Finally, I would fly to Kenya where I would stay for about a

week. There are three things I would like to do in Kenya. First, I

hope I could visit the coast becau I would like to e the old

Arab cities and enjoy the beautiful beaches. Next, I would like to

visit a Game Rerve④. I imagine the wild animals----the lion,

elephant and hippopotamus⑤----are very exciting and beautiful.

Finally, I would like to visit the Mountains of Kenya where I can

e snow on the Equator.

If someone offered me this money, I would he amazed.

This trip took us ven days and we went back to Beijing by

plane. The plane was very very big. There were three engine

rooms. I felt happy and I would never forget the trip.

If I were to leave my home for a year, there is one thing I

definitely would take with me: my cell phone. With my cell phone,

I could call my friends or family if I ever was lonely, needed advice,

or just wanted to talk.

If I were away from home for a year, I would be very lonely,

especially in the beginning before I made friends. If I could call

my mother and father, I would hear their familiar voices and I

would not feel so lonely. Hearing my friends’ voices would also

help me overcome my sadness.

I’ve never been on my own so there are many things I am

not familiar with. I’ve never opened a bank account, got a

driver’s licen, or made my own food. If I had to cook chicken

or something, I could call up my mother and she could tell me

how to make dinner.

Sometimes, I may just want to talk in my own language. With

my cell phone, I could call my friends and tell them about my new

life. This would make them jealous of me

. I would call them a lot so they could hear all the wonderful

things I am doing.

For me a cell phone is a necessity. I would need it anytime I

was lonely, anytime I needed to do something I didn’t know

how to do, and anytime I just wanted to talk. Of cour, the

phone bill will be nt to my parents.
