A Day to Remember

It was Sunday. Our teacher Mr Zhu led us to a park y we go to the park to spend our

holiday. But today we went there to take part in voluntary labour.

We got there at nine o'clock. Mr Zhu divided us into three groups and then we began working.

The students in Group One planted trees and watered flowers. The studentsin Group Two were busy

collecting litter left by the tourist. They also cleaned the benches in the park. I was in Group Three. We

went to the children's playground and cleaned all the equipment there. We worked very hard.

At about eleven we finished working. We met at the gate of the park. We all felt tired but very happy.

Every child is surrounded by the deep mother love. However, we often turn a blind eye to the love.

One day I deeply felt the love.

One day I hurried home for lunch after school, becau there would be an exam in the afternoon and I

had expected to go back to school early to prepare for the exam. But when I got home, the lunch was not

ready yet. I felt unhappy. When the dishes were rved, I forund none I like. I ran out of my hou angrily

and wanderde on the street for a while,hungry. Then I walked to school.

When I got into the classroom, I saw a lunch box on my desk. One classmate told me that it was my

mother ther that had brought it opening the box, I found my favorite food inside. My eyes was

moist with tears.

Mother gave me her love without asking for return, How deep mother love is!

Man has been fascinated by outer space for thousands of years, It has been almost over forty years

since man’ s first landing on the moon. Now, some people believe that space exploration is a sheer waste

of time and money. They point out the thct that it cost billions of dollars to can3’ on the space rearch, but

a little infrmation was brought back. In addition, the time and money spent on space exploration is too

much to calculate.

However, every coin has two sides. There are still a majority of other people who believe that space

exploration has more advantages. And I agree with tho people. Many new products, such as weather and

communication satellites, are also products of space programs, and they have benefitted people all over the

world. And what’ s more. scientific knowledge about outer space has been acquired by the mankind.

We benefited a lot from space exploration. We believed that it will bring more benefits in the future,

which perhaps we can not even imagine now’. Space exploration is a challenge to human beings. That’ s

why veral nations try hard to carry out space exploration continuously.

the sky also begin to glow with a golden light, and the mountains are really colourful.

When the sun begins to t behind the mountain, it looks like a red ball. Its light fills the sky and

changes the colour of the clouds from gold to red.

When the sun is gone altogether behind the mountain, the clouds turn grey and the mountains become

black.

Then you cannot help admiring the wonder of nature.

The sunt is very beautiful and lovely.

Its scene is as wonderful as a sunri but it is even more beautiful to watch it in the country than in the

The Yangzte River is the longest river in China. And it’s important and helpful to us Chine. But

the days the Yangtze River is bringing us rious floods.

Many villages were destroyed by floods. The floods made hundreds of millions of people lo their

homes, relatives and friends. Many children can’t go to school as usual .Now the foods have drawn the

attention of the whole world. People from abroad have offered their help too. In China, millions of soldiers

are busy fighting against the floods. They are working very hard. Many of them have lost their lives in their

attempt to save the villagers.

Though we can’t help them to fight against floods, we should help them to rebuild their homeland. We

can prent them our pocketmoney and clothes. I believe most of the people will return to their homeland in

the near future.

Bicycle is a convinient means of transporation. It has been very popular in China. During the rush

hours, particularly in big cities, you can often e a a of bicycle riders in the streets. People can ride

bicycles to their working places, to schools, to shopping centers and so on. In a word, bicycles play an

important role in daily life.

Compared with cars, bicycles have many advantages. Firstly, they are not so expensive as cars and

almost every family can afford to buy and repair them. Secondly, riding bicycle is a healthy form of

exerci. They do good to our health. Thirdly, bicycles can save energy and does not cau any pollution,

while cars will cau rious air pollution, which makes the air in our living place very dirty and makes a

lot of people suffer from lung cancer. As we all know, China is a country with a large population. Ifeach

family has a car, a large amount of energy would be wasted and air pollution would become more and more

rious. Finally, most Chine people don’ t live far away from where they work or study, it is convenient

to ride bicycles. I think that is why bicycles are ud so much.

Bicycles are so popular in China that China is often referred to as the kingdom of bicycles. I hope

more and more people can ride bicycles in order to make our planet better and cleaner.

This morning,i woke up with a start: my clock was alarming. unwillingly opened my eyes, i found it

was 6:30 heless, the room was very gloomy, for it was raining outside. what a cold day! how

comfortable it would be if i could stay in bed for the whole day, reading a favourite book in the sound of

rain. but, i did have to go to work.

Though it was a rush hour, on the way, there were fewer people than usual. many people arduously

held an umbrella which was always blown down by a blast of ately , i was dresd in a raincoat.

veral yards away, a policeman was guiding the traffic in the rain. i was filled with deep esteem for his

riousness.i kept thinking of today's plan for a short while and,then,i was in my office. a busy day is

beginning ……

IT snowed heavily last week in northern China. Big snows fell on Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Ningxia and

Xinjiang. For many cities, it was the biggest snowfall in 50 years. The snow made traveling hard. Many

schools had to clo for days.

Jia Aizhen, 14, lives in Taiyuan, Shanxi. She should have a mid-term (期中的) test on Wednesday.

Becau of the snow, they had the test on Sunday instead.

"It was good becau we had more time to review (复习) our lessons," said Jia. She enjoyed the snow.

It was as deep as 15cm and came to halfway up her leg. "I felt peaceful (平和的) and relaxed (放松的) to

e the white snowy world."

Kang Xinyi, 13, and Wang Danyang, 13, are classmates at Shijiazhuang No 43 Middle School in

Hebei. Their school stopped on Wednesday. Kang said the snow in the yard was as deep as 40cm.

"It was so good we didn’t have to go to school!" said Kang. Kang, Wang and another friend had a

snowball fight (打雪仗) and made snowmen. They also helped clear snow off the roads.

"I never saw such a big snow," said Wang. "Last year we only made a small snow panda, but this year

our snowman is as tall as 1 meter!"

"If the snow didn't make trouble for traffic (交通), we would hope it would never stop!" said the girls.

We have lived in Lida School for more than one year. I enjoy all the time here becau it can bring me

a lot of things such as feelings, knowledge and other things I need.

There are many trees and flowers around us. The trees are green all the year. When we sit in the

classroom and look out of the windows, we can e a big tree shaking its strong arms to us. It is really

wonderful.

In some ways, our thoughts are at large. Perhaps it makes our brains creative. I believe that nothing

can tie up my mind even it stands for authority. The free life is just like our school life.

In our school, of cour, there are both success and failure. We should not be proud but modest

becau there are too many people much better than mylf. Actually, we also should muster up courage

and work harder.

We often think a lot.

We are never afraid of anything.”

So we have our own school life different from others.

At last, it is impossible for me to resist the temptation to say: what a perfect school life I have!
