端午节手抄报英语内容简短
The Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanwu Festival, is a
traditional Chine holiday celebrated on the fifth day of the fifth
lunar month. It is a time to honor the poet Qu Yuan, who drowned
himlf in a river as a form of protest against corrupt rulers.
One of the main customs of this festival is the Dragon Boat Races.
Teams of rowers paddle in sync to the rhythm of drums, competing
to reach the finish line first. The boats are beautifully decorated to
remble dragons, and the races create an energetic and exciting
atmosphere.
Another important tradition is eating zongzi, a sticky rice dumpling
wrapped in bamboo leaves. The dumplings are usually filled
with a variety of ingredients such as meat, beans, and nuts. People
believe that eating zongzi will protect them from evil spirits and
promote good health.
During the Dragon Boat Festival, people also hang up pouches of
herbs called "xionghuang" to ward off evil spirits. It is believed
that the strong fragrance of the herbs can repel bad luck and
bring good fortune.
In addition to the activities, families often visit the graves of
their ancestors to pay their respects during this holiday. They clean
the graves, offer food and wine, and burn incen and paper
offerings.
The Dragon Boat Festival is a time to celebrate Chine culture and heritage. It brings people together to enjoy the festive
atmosphere and remember the story of Qu Yuan.
