CURRENT FORMAT FOR BEDDING & FURNITURE
The minimum size of the label shall not be less than 2 inches by 3 inches, but may be larger as the need demands.
All printing shall be in the English language, color of the print shall be black on a white label, minimum type size 1/8" inch in height or not less than 9 point type. The label material shall be Tyvek, Valeron, Vellum cloth or a material of comparable quality, which shall not flake out when abraded. There shall be no printing on the back of the law label.
The description of the filling materials shall be it's true generic name, grade, or definitions as accepted and approved by the states. When more than one kind of filling material is ud, the percent by weight of each shall be listed in order of their predominance.
NOTE: In some states the name of the manufacturer, importer, distributor or vendor is required to be listed on the label. This information may be listed veral different way.

NOTE: The "Other Information" ction at the bottom of the label is where all federal requirements and any additional information shall be listed:

NOTE: If a product is made in the U.S., either in whole or in part of imported materials the law label shall disclo the facts:

EXAMPLE: "Made in U.S.A. of Imported Materials"
If a product is partially manufactured in a foreign country or some components are manufactured in a foreign country and then finished in the U.S. the law label shall disclo this information.
EXAMPLE: Shell Made in China, Filled and Finished in the U.S.A.
No advertising or company logo is permitted on the law label. The label shall be curely affixed to the article in a location which is clearly visible to the consumer.

If you need to place a bar code on the label it must at the bottom of the label parated by a bold black line from the rest of the information.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
In 1998 IABFLO approved the removal of the blank stamp block from the law label. In order to maintain a uniform law label the old style label (shown below) should be phad out by January 1st, 2005. After that date IABFLO will not approved the u of this law label.

FLAMMABILITY NOTICE
IABFLO approved that the California Flammability Warning, TB 116, TB 117 may be printed on the same label. The location can be side-by-side parated by a thick black line. The law label should be on the left and the warning notice on the right. The notice may also be printed at the bottom of the la
w label, parated by a thick black line.
The minimum size of the type for the flammability notice shall be 1/8 inch in height or 9 point. All type shall be in capital letters.
