A New Skill I have Learned
During the novel corona virus outbreak, I could do nothing but stay at home. Feeling bored, I started learning to cook. I’ve been a lover of food since I was young. At first, the meals made by me were not tasty at all, so I asked my grandpa, who is a great cook, to teach me. Several weeks later, I could cook delicious food mylf. Since then, I have no longer needed to eat frozen food when my parents are not at home. Sometimes I can even help my mother to cook. The process of learning a new skill is hard but it all derves.
A new skill I have learned
As far as I am concerned, learning different skills is necessary even if some of them are the icing on the cake.
When I saw a beautiful video made by a v-logger, I was determined to learn how to made v-logs. At first I even didn't know how to download the app. Then I had lots of online class and practid making v-logs every day. I also watched a lot of videos made by the famous v-loggers, such as Li Ziqi, from whom I learned a lot. Gradually, I became con
fident becau of the progress I made. Eventually, I could make videos independently and enjoy the process of making it.
Not only has the skill brought me happiness, but also helped me record the warm moments in my family life. My life becomes much more colorful after I learned the skill. It is such a meaningful and new skill I have leaned.
A new skill I have learned
For me,the most challenging skill is to give a speech in front of all the students. I have learned it recently after being recommended to join in a speech competition. With the help of my teacher，I, a rather shy person by nature who easily suffers from stage fright, had to pluck up great courage to take part in it. I watched a lot of videos of excellent speakers, from which I learned many speaking skills. I also practid giving the speech in front of the mirror many times. To my surpri，I did it successfully.
I had truly gained confidence by learning the skill. It enables me to be more confident not only in English learning，but also in many other aspects of my life.

My goal is to be better at oral English. I ud to be very confident about my English since I always got good marks in the exams. However, Whenever I visit a foreign country, expressing mylf clearly to the foreigners becomes a great difficulty, which makes me extremely embarrasd. Thus, I am determined to improve my spoken English. I will spend much time practising it with my classmates and find chances to communicate more with foreigners.
