Today, I’m going to talk about “My school calendar, which is taken from Unit 3, book 2 of grade 5. My content is B Let’s learn & Ask and write. My teaching plan is made up of six parts.
Part 1 Analysis Of The Teaching Material
1. Status and function
This lesson is about the months, which is related to our daily life, so it is helpful to rai pupil’s int erests.The duration of this lesson is 40 minutes.
2. Analysis of the students
(1) The pupils are active and interested in new things, but they are lack of vocabulary.
(2) They know what to do and not to do (understand and u the language by direct teaching method).

1. Greeting
The whole class and the teacher greet with each other as usual.

To arou the pupils interest of studying, I will play the flash and let the pupils to sing a song“the twelve months”song. I will show the words picture on the screen, and teach pupils to sing the song.
3. Free talk
Free talk to talk about something they’ve learned before which relates to this lesson. Such as “When is…? It’s in….”
Step 2. Prentation

I will play a turntable game to get the pupils to review words about month they have learned from last class. This step is employed to revi the words related the months, at the same time draw the students attention to the new words “July and August”of this lesson.
2. Learn the new words
Learn new words from July to December, I will show pupils words and pictures one by one on the screen, and the pupils read after me. I will allow the pupils to teach pupils. I will ask some questions to get the pupils practice speaking ntences. At the same time, I will correct their pronunciation and write down the new words on the blackboard. And I will introduce Mid-Autumn Day and Thanksgiving Day to students.
3. Let’s practice
The pupils will ask and answer in pairs.
4. Let’s learn
The pupils will listen to the tape and follow it so that they can pronounce correctly.
5. Pair work
Using the structure “? It’ What will you do ...? I will ....”, the pupils will practice in pairs.
6. Group work
Get the students work in groups and practice the key words in the way they like, so that they can read, spell and make ntences. Then there are veral groups of prentations.

In this step, The teacher and the pupils will chant in unison. I will help the pupils understand the months in each ason.
2. Play a hamster game
To consolidate the new words, the pupils will read the words quickly by playing the game of hamster.

The pupils will complete the filling-in exercis by themlves, then they will ask and answer in pairs.
Step 4.Consolidation
1. Make a summar
Summarize the different usages of prepositions in expressing time: in April, on Monday, at six o’clock.
2. Make a dialogue

(2) Ask Several groups of pupils to prent the dialogues in the class.
Step 5. Summary and homework
I will summarize the words and key structures to the whole class, and lead the pupils to take notes.Then, our task is to copy each words 5 times and make a dialogue again.
Part 6 Blackboard design
I design three parts on the blackboard, part one is the topic “Unit 3 My school calendar” on the upper and middle position of the blackboard. Part two is about the words, on the left of the blackboard under the title. And the last part is the main structures. In a word, I mean to design the blackboard instructive and artistic.
