本节课是六年级下册第一单元的起始课,是一节对话课。A部分的对话中含有本单元的重点句型与基本语句:How tall are you? I’m 1.65 metres. 在本课中第一次出现了形容词的比较级形式,而且也出现了最高级形式。对于比较级要求学生理解并能运用,最高级则只要求学生简单、初步感知即可。基本句式How tall are you? I’m taller than you.则要求学生能灵活运用,自由交流。
学生曾经学习过与本课相关的内容:形容词:tall, short, long, young, old, pretty等,相关的句子:What does he look like? What does she look like? 能够描述朋友的基本外貌特点。

知识基础:
学生在前几册教材中已经接触过这几个形容词,本课通过先复习之前学过的How tall are you?Im How old are you? Im句型。然后通过看图片说出形容词以及对图片进行比较
说出句型,学生可以在图片的帮助下更好的理解形容词的比较级。简化难点。为本课的学习做好了充分的准备。
生活经验:
六年级学生英语有了一定的基础,大部分学生对英语学习还有着浓厚的兴趣,但也有少数学生由于遇到困难,学习兴趣也随之减弱。尤其这学期要进行综合整合,要求学生听说读写练能力的综合运用,在重基础的前提下适当拓展。
