1Scope
This standard specifies dimensions, the material and design of spherical washers and conical ats. The elements are designed to accommodate bolting forces where such are needed to compensate for clamping faces that are not parallel. U of spherical washers together with conical ats permits bolts to be inclined up to 3° relative to the axis of the asmbly. For slots, such as tho in clamps covered in DIN 6314, DIN 6315and DIN 6316, only type G conical ats shall be ud, whilst type D ats are only to be ud together with plain washers.

4Material
Spherical washers and type D conical ats shall be made of ca hardening steel and type G ats of steel for quenching and tempering, the grade being at the manufacturer’s discretion.
5Hardness
Spherical washers and type D conical ats shall be ca hardened to a depth of (0,2+0,2)mm (450HV 1), with a hardness of (550+100)HV 10. Type G ats shall be quenched and tempered and have a hardness of (350+80)HV 30.
