1. Great inventors like Thomas Edison have impacted people's
lives with their inventions. While their contributions are certainly valuable, other amazing inventions were actually created by children!
The trampoline
Trampolines are great for both fun and exerci, but they are a fairly recent invention. In the 1930s, George Nisn was inspired to make a bouncy“net" after eing a circus performance. He thought it more entertaining for performers to continue bouncing instead of landing in a net. So, at the age of 16, he made it by stretching
thick cloth in a metal frame.
The Popsicle
Cold weather led to the creation of a delicious invention-the Popsicle. Frank Epperson was just 11 years old when he accidentally created his first Popsicle. He was making himlf a soda drink and left his glass outside overnight. When he found it in the morning, it had frozen solid with the stir (搅拌) stick still in the glass. And the first Popsicle was born.
Braille
Three-year-old Louis Braille experienced a rious eye injury
that blinded him in both eyes.He struggled to read by moving his fingers across raid letters, but that proved very difficult. At the age of twelve, Louis learned about a communication system where messages could be read silently with fingertips. He changed it and created Braille. It s now ud around the world!
BEACON

receiving a letter from her Ethiopian pen pal, Hannah was inspired to create a device that could conv
ert the energy from ocean waves into electricity which she hopes will help people without easy access to electricity.

That's when I got an email from my friend. All she asked was “Do you still want one of the kittens? There's one here with no eyes and no one would like to take him.” Without thinking, I told her that I did want the kitten.
When we first brought him home, Jack stayed mostly in my room. After about a day he had no issues running around and climbing on everything. At times he gets lost in the hou, he'll stop. But we just call him and talk to him and it isn't long before he finds his way back to us.
A few weeks after getting Jack, we got a new farm cat named Bear. Jack and Bear have become best friends. It doesn't matter that he can't e. He always knows when Bear is around. He'll run across the yard straight to Bear and wrap his front legs around his neck in a big hug. They run after each other around and wrestle. They'll lie down in the grass together when tired.

The numbers varied depending on location, with a larger percentage of climate-change related deaths occurring in warmer countries than cooler ones.

"Overall, about 166,000 people died of heat-related deaths between 1998 and 2017, according to the World Health Organization. Due to climate change, more people are being expod to heat waves than ever before. Between 2000 and 2016, the number of people expod to heat waves incread by around 125 million.
There is one obvious limitation to this new study - while hundreds of locations were included, many areas of Africa and Southeast Asia were not, due to a lack of data. Gathering that information in the future will be very important for new efforts to create a global accounting of heat-related deaths and illness. Obtaining the data will be key for science to provide the information needed to help the countries adapt.卧底归来在线观看

accessorized (配饰) with bright tropical flowers to make them even more photogenic.
The breakfasts are particularly popular in Asia and the Pacific, especially at warm-weather private flat resorts in places like Thailand, Fiji and the Maldives.
Nearly everyone agrees that the trend began in Bali, although no specific resort ems to get the credit for coming up with the idea first.
While the breakfasts have become more common on resort menus
over the last five years, the coronavirus pandemic has made them more popular than ever as hotel guests are avoiding buffets and public dining rooms.
“Across the cour of the past year, in-suite dining has become extremely popular, especially for tho eking comfort in the safety and their room,” Jann Hess, general manager at Amanjiwo in Bali. “The floating breakfast is a popular choice.”
After all, the floating breakfast needs a pool to float in — and a private pool is a much better choice than a shared pool where a splashing (飞溅的) kid might make the whole thing topple over.
Though the gorgeous colors and dramatic plating of floating breakfasts make them perfect for social media, asking people to stand in the pool before they’ve fully woken up or had caffeine ems like a potential recipe for disaster.
James Booth, a Sydney-bad reporter, tells that, for him, the special meal worked better in concept. Though Booth had pre-scheduled a specific time for the breakfast to arrive, he ended up oversleeping about 20 minutes, meaning he’d misd the optimal window for consuming it.
