Styles Facts
The Middle Ages The main aim of painters was to reprent religious themes. Artists were only interested in creating respect and love for God, and paintings from this period are full of religious symbols.
The Renaissance People in this period became focud more on humans and less on religion. Painters tried to paint people and nature as they really were. People were able to draw realistic pictures by following the rules of perspective.
Impressionism In the late 19th century, there were many new inventions and many social changes. The changes also led to changing in painting styles. The impressionists painted outdoors. Their paintings were not as detailed as tho of earlier painters.
