way用法小结
way是英语中较常见的一个名词，它词义广泛，还可以构成许多短语。现在我把它的用法简单归纳如下，供同学们参考。
一、 基本意义：
1、 路、道路：
Is this the way to the shops? 这是去商店的路吗？
He stopped to ask the way. 他停下来问路。
2、 路程、距离：
The school is a long way off. 学校离这儿很远。
They had only gone a short way when Al shouted, “Hey, we’re lost!”
他们刚走了没多远，埃尔就喊道：“喂，我们迷路了！”
3、 表时间：
Christmas is still a long way off . 离圣诞节还有好长时间呢。
Dr. Sandra Lomax believes we have a long way to go before we can develop truly intelligent machines. 桑德拉·洛马克斯博士认为，我们还得很久才能开发出真正智能型的机器人。
4、 方向：
He went that way. 他朝那边去了。
Look this way , plea. 请往这儿看。
He looked this way and that. 他这边瞅瞅，那边瞧瞧。

5、 方法、方式：

二、 含有way的短语：
1、 by the way: 顺便说；在途中；在路旁：
By the way, have you watched the TV ries “Expectation”? 顺便问一下，你看过电视剧《渴望》没有？
By the way, where is your brother? 那么，你弟弟在哪里？
2、 by way of 经由，路过：
He went to Japan by way of Hawaii. 他取道夏威夷去了日本。
I learned French by way of reading. 我是通过阅读学法语的。
3、 feel one’s way 摸索前进；谨慎行事：
With the light off, we had to feel our way. 灯灭了，我们就只好摸索前进。
4、 way out 出路：
They are fighting their way out. 他们正在打出一条路。
He was trying to think of a way out, but it was impossible to find one. 他正在设法想出一条出路，但那是不可能的。
5、 all the way 自始至终
He kept asking questions all the way at the meeting. 会上，他自始至终都在提问题。
Jack climbed all the way to the top of the tree. 杰克一口气爬到了树顶上。
It was cool near the tall trees and he wouldn’t have to walk 人与狗狗all the way home. 大树附近很凉快，他不必一直走到家。
6、 in a (one) way 在一定程度上；用某种方法：

7、 in no way 决不，完全不，一点不：
He is in no way to blame. 他完全不应该受责备。
The foreigner spoke so fast that I could in no way follow him. 那老外说话太快，我一点也听不懂。
8、 in the (one’s) way 当道；妨碍：
I’m sorry. You are in my way. 对不起，请让一让。
Her social life get in the way of her studies. 社交活动影响了她的学习。
If any of my children wanted to live away from home, I certainly wouldn’t stand in their way. 假如我的哪个孩子想到外面去住，我是不会阻拦的。
9、 on the (one’s) way (to) 在……途中；将要：
I’m on my way to visit my daughter in California. 我正赶往加利福尼亚看望女儿。
He’s on the way to北京月嫂多少钱 becoming a teacher. 他要当教师了。
10、 make one’s way艰难行进 (=push on = push one’s way)

11、 show sb. the way 为……引路

12、 this way and that 又是这样，又是那样：
He began to snatch it this way and that, talking all the while excitedly, as if to himlf. 他拿起那件衣服来回翻看，一直兴奋地说着什么，好象说给自己听似的。
13、 lo (miss) one’s way 迷路，走错路：
He lost his way in the forest. 他在森林里迷了路。
Be careful not to 星巴克中杯lo your way. 小心，别走错了道儿。
14、 go(take/have/get) one’s own way 独自行动，一意孤行：
Do not go your own way. 不要一意孤行。
