Renaissance and Humanism
Renaissance is a movement fighting against church and feudalism during 14th and mid-17th century, which marks the transition from the medieval to the modern world. Renaissance started in Italy where painting, sculpture and architecture flourished during this time. Renaissance attaches importance to people and has greatly influenced western culture.

Beautiful and pure Laura could bring solace to Petrach, but the ravenous hypocritical church and pope only relentlessly procuted him.
