蜂蜜能放冰箱吗随着《麦田里的守望者》(1951年)一书的出版,J.D.塞林格几乎立即被认可为二战后最重要的美国小说家之一。《麦田里的守望者》也被称作是二十世纪美国文学的“现代经典”。它向我们展示了一个身体和精神上倍受煎熬的青年心理逐渐成熟，最后走向社会的心路历程。自小说问世以来，文学批评家用从传统到后现代主义的各种理论对小说从各个方面进行了批
评和解读。尽管评论中有褒有贬，但广泛的好评确立了这位32岁小说家的声望。由于霍尔顿是美国文学中最早出现的反英雄形象之一，相当多的评论是关于主人公霍尔顿这个人物的争论。然而，所有这些对小说本身以及对主人公霍尔顿的解读都不可能是最终的，有待我们有新的发现。本文运用顿悟理论对《麦田里的守望者》进行探讨，从而推理出主人公霍尔顿最终摆脱困扰、幡然醒悟的原因。顿悟是指在危机时刻人的突然灵机闪现。它是成长小说的一个典型特征。顿悟常常发生在人物心理变化的关键时刻，
六个月的宝宝预示着故事的高潮，起着深化主题的作用。塞林格笔下的顿悟的不同之处在于:“他常以人类的同情和友爱构筑精神复苏的根基，通过禅学的顿悟达到对人生的理解和超脱。”(尚晓进)《麦田里的守望者》中的主人公在其成长过程中经历了三次顿悟。这三次顿悟依次深化，从对外部世界的认识到“麦田里的守望者”梦想的破灭，到最后心灵的超脱，走出精神危机，实现成长。前两次顿悟相互呼应，正是成人世界的“卑劣”，才促使霍尔顿甘愿当一名麦田里的守望者，保护天真纯洁的孩子，使他们避免掉下成人世
安全标志标牌界的悬崖。第三次顿悟是在第二次顿悟基础上的深化。美好梦想的破灭和爱的再生能力最终使霍尔顿回归社会，走向正常生活。从霍尔顿的成长过程可以看出，成长小说所探讨的由年

character Holden Caulfield that the most heated debates revolve, pitting the Holden lovers in one corner against the Holden haters in the other, due to Holden as one of the earliest anti-heroes in American literature.
