摘要：PURPOSE:To perform economically direct rolling of a continuous casting billet in the stage of cooling slowly a continuous casting billet by mist cooling in condary casting of said billet and hot rolling continuously the billet by utilizing the quantity of the heat possd by converter waste gas to form the mist. CONSTITUTION:A molten steel 7 in a mold 8 of a continuous casting device is continuously cast and is slowly cooled by a condary cooler 6. The cooled steel is rolled directly by a hot rolling mill without generating surface cracking so that the excessive consumption of heat energy by cooling and reheating during the cooling is eliminated. The cooling by mist is optimum for the slow cooling of a continuous casting billet 9 by which direct rolling is made possible without partial cooling and without generation of a defect such as cracking on the surface of the continuous casting billet.
