The sum of four data Y3, Y2, Y1, and Y0 of four bits goes to the data of 6 bits, and it is expresd as equation III. In such a ca, since it is 16identical1mod15, the equation III is expresd as equation IV of Y3+Y2+Y1+Y0=Y1'''+Y0'''mod15. The sum of two data Y1''' and Y0''' goes to the data of 5 bits, and it can be expresd as equation V of
Y1'''+Y0'''=Y1<4>'.16+Y0<4>'. At this time, by applying 16identical1mod15, equation VI of Y1'''+Y0'''=Y1<4>'+Y0<4>'mod15 can be obtained. Judging from the equations III, IV, and VI, it is recognized that mod15 conversion can be realized by six full adders of 4 bits. Thus, it is possible to perform the expansion of the number of input bits and also, to reduce the number of elements.
