R410.2 New or Enhanced Functionality
The following improvements are included in EBI R410.2.
New operating system support
•The EBI Server can now be installed on Windows Server 2008 R2 and Windows 7. Existing support for Windows Server 2003 and Windows XP that was available with EBI R410.1 is also maintained.
•The EBI Station and Browr Client and majority of point rvers can also be installed on the new platforms.

New access controller
•Honeywell IdentIPoint® is HBS’s new MIFARE™-bad smart card access control platform. With flatter IP bad architecture, Honeywell IdentIPoint delivers more features and benefits per door at lower install cost. Honeywell IdentIPoint includes support for Card, PIN and Fingerprint biometrics, Power over Ethernet, Wireless and a host of other features. Services Oriented Architecture (SOA)
The first delivery of EBI’s increasing SOA bad system support. This suite of web rvices is being delivered incrementally starting with the new Cardholder Services offering.
•Cardholder rvices allows advanced customer applications to build on the strength of the EBI Cardholder Management System (CMS)
•Using principles of a Service Oriented Architecture it allows applications to interact with the CMS in an IT friendly manner
•Customer specific applications can be created to support business process in place. For example: Disabling a cardholder’s access after their OH&S certificate has expired
Only enabling a cardholder’s access after they have pasd a breath test at the beginning of their shift Allowing a cardholder to request access to a cured area via the web and have the request nt for approval to the cardholder’s supervisor and curity department
Automatically dropping a cardholder’s t of keys or other equipment out of a vault when they report to work and swipe their card
