状语从句
定义： 修饰谓语或谓语动词的句子称为状语从句。在句 子中可以表示地点，原因，条件，目的，方式，时间，结果等。

▪ now that 只放句首=since
▪ for 只能后置，常表推测

▪ when、while、as 的区别
▪ when ① 当…时侯（从句谓语可先于主句谓语；或与主 句谓语同时进行，“一事发生的过程中另一事 正在进行”，即主、从句谓语动词所花时间一长一短） ② 这时
▪ while ① 当…时侯（从句的谓语必须是持续性动词，与 主句谓语同时进行且用进行时态；或从句用 “be+表语”表示状态）② 趁…之时；③ 而(并列句)；④ 尽管
▪ as ① 当…时，在…的同时；正值（口语多用；从 句的谓语多为动作性动词，强调动作，与主句谓语同时进行）② 一边…一边…；③ 随着...
