CALL FOR PAPERS
The 1st International Conference on Transportation Information and Safety (ICTIS 2011), which is sponsored by China Communications and Transportation Association (CCTA) and organized by Wuhan University of Technology (WUT), will be held from June 30th through July 2nd 2011 in Wuhan, China. ICTIS 2011 is supported by American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Canadian Society for Civil Engineering (CSCE), Department of Engineering and Material Science of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and the Intelligent Transportation Systems Committee of Chine Association for Artificial Intelligence (CAAI).
The theme of ICTIS 2011 is “Transportation Safety in Information Age”, which includes a broad range o
f topics related to the rearch and applications in transportation safety and information systems/technology. The conference will showca international experiences in transportation rearch and development, and provide a platform for both domestic and overas experts to exchange successful stories and share lessons learned in rearch and practice. The conference organizing committee sincerely invites transportation professionals and experts worldwide to submit papers and attend the conference. The working language of this conference is English. Authors are invited to submit abstracts and full papers in English to the
website (www.ictis-online). Submitted abstracts should not exceed 350 words. The length of paper is limited to 6 pages. Abstracts should include the paper title, name(s) of the author(s), affiliations, as well as no more than 5 keywords. For papers with multiple authors, plea provide information for all co-authors, including name and contact information (address, phone number, email and fax) of the corresponding author..
Submitted abstracts and full papers will be reviewed by experts in the relevant fields. The accepted papers will be included in the conference proceedings to be published by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) for Engineering Index (EI) citation. Furthermore, lected excellent papers from this conference will be recommended to the Journal of Transportation Engineering (SCI) for consideration of publication in a Special Issue of Transportation Information and Safety. other excellent papers will be recommended for publication in the Journal of Transportation Safety and Security. The conference will also prent awards to the lected excellent papers.

cites in central China. It is a transportation hub for air, railway,
as well as ferry Traffic. It is also the heart of politics, economy
and culture in Hubei province. Wuhan consists of three parts:
Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang, which are divided by Yangtze
River and Han River. With 3000-year-old history, even in Han Dynasty Wuhan has turned itlf to a busy port along the Yangtze River. The famous attractions include Hubei Provincial Muum, Yellow Crane Tower, East Lake, and Guiyuan Temple.
