谢尚威Taiyuan University of Technology (henceforth, TUT) is one of the major universities in Shanxi Province and is the only one in the province that has been nominated as one of the top 100 universities by a national higher education program—“Project 211”. Its history can be traced all the way back to the Western Learning School of Shanxi Grand Academy (1902), which is one of the three earliest state-run universities in China and one of five key universities under construction in Central China.
