An Analysis of the Particularity and Countermeasures of Ideological and Political Education of Independent College Students

Abstract: Being the important part of private higher education, independent colleges are affected by management system and school conditions and other factors and have a certain particularity in terms of ideological and political education of independent college students. This article firstly analyzes the particularity of ideological and political education for students in independent colleges, then points out the countermeasures of ideological and political education for students in independent colleges, hoping to provide some references for ideological and political education for students in independent colleges.

Due to the flexible running mechanism of independent colleges, students of independent colleges have more prominent personalities, which brings certain challenges to ideological and political education. In 踏脚板
order to improve effectiveness of ideological and political education work for students of independent colleges, schools need to integrate the strength of multiple departments and realize the particularity of ideological and political education work for students of independent colleges and accelerate the reform and creation of ideological and political education. In this way, schools can innovate the carrier of ideological and political work by systematic and general thinking and so work out effective countermeasures of ideological and political education.

1. The Particularity of Ideological and Political Education of Independent College Students
(1) Particular running mechanism
Independent colleges are public institutions that have been provided with mature brand, advanced te
aching methods and excellent faculty by normal public institutions. At the same time, the hardware facilities of independent colleges are social forces participating in running schools. The relationship of rights, responsibilities and interests between the applicants of independent colleges and investors is regulated through a legally effective agreement.
Independent colleges have independent legal person quality, school premis and teaching facilities and also independent financial accounting system and they can recruit students and issue academic certificates independently. Independent colleges adopt the dean responsibilities system under the leadership of the board of directors. The reprentative of legal person is the dean of independent colleges, and he or she charges the various management work of colleges. Major decisions of the college are made by the board of directors. To some extent, the running of independent colleges is not only an educational phenomenon but also an economic phenomenon. Stakeholders of colleges aim to profit from running schools. In order to save the cost of running a school as much as possible and get profits quickly, many investors focus on the equipment of existing facilities and the construction of popular majors, but fail to pay attention to the importance of ideological and political education.

It is mainly manifested in the following aspects. First of all, students have a strong n of participation, but their discrimination ability is relatively weak and they are easy to be affected by bad ideas. Secondly, students of independent colleges have strong comprehensive abilities, but lack of clear goals and position in terms of themlves. Their family conditions are relatively better and have strong comprehensive ability, but their cultural foundation is relatively weak. Compared with the study of cultural class, they pay more attention to entertainment and fashion information. Part of them could t a clear studying goal and t clear career planning in four-year learning career. But some students also have a low lf-requirement and lack of learning goals and career planning. The students lack of spirit and perverance of struggling and have a pertinent problem of three-minute passion. Finally, students of independent colleges like to challenge themlves and have relatively remarkable psychological problem. Students of independent colleges have a remarkable n of eking differences and like to challenge themlves. But it is hard for them to overcome their psychological problems. Firstly, the age and knowledge structure of teachers in independent colleges reprent “a shape of dumbbell”. As a result of the short time of establishment of independent colleges, mature ideological and political education system has not been formed. Teachers are important participants and leaders in ideological and political education. Some ideological and political teachers are retired professors of universities and colleges, while some are inexperienced graduates. Independent colleges have not yet trained high-quality young teachers. The proportion of old, middle and young teachers is not reasonable, and the age gap of ideological and political education teacher is easy to occur, which also hinders the echelon construction and lone-term development of teachers. Secondly, the mobility of teacher is relatively strong. The lf-employed teacher recruited by the college are often personnel agents without formal authorization, and this is cloly related to the particular running mode of the college. Besides, the welfare and salary level of teachers are relatively low, and some te
achers will choo to enter the civil rvice or continue their studies out of long-term consideration, which will lead to the instability of the faculty of independent colleges. The instability of counlors’ team leads to the weak continuity of ideological and political education in independent colleges. Some majors may change counlors veral times within four years, which results in students’ numbness to the ideological and political education and also has a negative impact on the ideological and political education in independent colleges. Finally, the student-teacher ratio is not reasonable. The number of lf-owned teachers in independent colleges is relatively small, and the ratio of ideological and political educators to students is difficult to reach the national requirement of 1:200. Counlors and teachers in some independent colleges are responsible for ideological and political education in multiple grades and majors. Although the teacher-student ratio in some colleges can meet the standards, it is difficult for young counlors and teachers to take into account both management work and students’ ideological dynamic changes due to the influence of student groups and other factors. In addition, in order to control the cost, some independent colleges often adopt the mode of teaching ideological and political theory cours in large class, with the number of students in each class exceeding 200, which leads to ineffective communication between teachers and students. The existence of the problems leads to the ideological and political education of independent colleges can not reach the expected effect.
2. An Analysis of the Countermeasures of Ideological and Political Education of Independent College Students
(1) To make full u of new media to strengthen the construction of campus network culture

Teachers can make full u of new media to broaden students’ horizons, and at the same time help students accept more advanced concepts and active students’ thinking. At the same time, the ideological and political education work must be carried out with the joint participation of multiple subjects and adopt diversified prentation patterns, in this way, influencing the behavior and thinking of students in various aspects. Schools need to integrate new media technology and socialist values, and speed up the construction of a good network cultural environment. Schools can make u of “influence” to change students’ values and ideology subtly, so as to provide guidance and guarantee for the implementation of practical behavior. content and the news events that are widely concerned by the society through new media. With the help of vivid teaching method, a knowledge system of ideological and political can be displayed clearly. In addition, certain practical cours can be added into the education of ideological and political. Teachers can make u of the current hot issues as the subject of rearch and through practical activities make students interact and communicate with each other, so as to ensure the smooth development of education work of ideological and political. Secondly, schools need to broaden the new media teaching channel of education work of ideological and political, and new media can enrich teaching content and teaching methods. Teachers need to combine the characteristics and development demand of students of independent colleges and innovate new media teaching methods and further expand the coverage of new media teaching methods, so as to enhance the influence of ideological and political education on students. For example, teachers can make a summary of traditional medial information resources and integrate them with relatively ideological and political content of new media effectively. Teachers can guides students to make u of Internet resources to lf-learn and improve themlves continuously, so as to effectively play the role of education of new media.

(2) To grasp the characteristics of students comprehensively to improve the educational effects of ideological and political education
At prent, the ideological and political education methods and teaching experience of some independent colleges are borrowed from their mother universities. In the process of education, schools ignore the physical characteristics and ideological and moral conditions, leading to the inconsistent situation of ideological and political education in independent colleges, so it is hard to fix the problems of studying and living of students in independent colleges. Due to the rigid system, the ideological and political education in independent colleges is not satisfactory. In order to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education, students’ characteristics of thinking, psychological and behavior should be taken into consideration. At the same time, adhering to the principles of human-oriented and implementation of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude, teachers should make effective interaction and communication with students and stay patient enough during the process of education. The management of independent colleges should t up the educational concept of whole-staff education and whole-process education, comprehensively integrating the resources of the college, so as to design a t of effective, systemat

Besides, the design of education program and education goals should be clo to the practical situation of students and should not be too idealistic and take the individual characteristics of students into full consideration. 3. Conclusion
The running system of individual colleges of relatively particular, which is also the important reason why their ideological and political education work is particular. When carrying out ideological and political education, colleges should take full account of the particularity and adopt targeted countermeasures to improve the effectiveness of ideological and political education.
