评价理论视角下态度意义的多模态建构—以《小猪佩奇》

摘要
作为一个新兴的研究领域,多模态互动分析无论在理论还是实践应用方面都不断在创新,其中最基础的共识便是非语言符号与语言符号同样被视为表意资源。作为系统功能语言学的后起之秀,评价理论也在不断平衡语言与非语言的应用研究,使得该理论的应用可能性更广更加全面。而该论文中选取的语料—视频语篇正是两者恰如其分的结合点。这能够充分说明语言与其他模态结合是常态,从而实现人类交际中态度意义构建的全貌。那么,非语言符号模态与语言符号模态该如何共同作用实现其态度意义就是该论文研究的重点问题。本文将学前电视《小猪佩奇》视为研究对象,以多模态分析软件Multimodal Analysis Video为数据收集和分析工具,在语言和非语言的互动中探讨态度意义的多模态建构。审计的流程

The Multimodal Construction of Attitudinal Meaning Through the Lens of Appraisal Theory:A Ca Study of Peppa Pig
Abstract
As a emerging field of rearch,multimodal interaction analysis is in the continuous innovation either in theoretical views or in practical applications.The fundamental commonn is that non-linguistic resources are equal to linguistic ones for making meaning.Appraisal Theory,the rising star of systematic functional linguistics, incessantly produces mutually equilibrating linguistic and non-linguistic applications in order to make its applied probability broader and more comprehensive.The analytical data of thesis is chon as a appropriate coupling between the two and it turns out that linguistic modes interact with other modes so as to realize a full view of construction of Attitude in human communication.Therefore,how linguistic modes and non-linguistic ones co-work to realize attitudinal meaning is the main rearch question to ttle in this thesis.The preschool television Peppa Pig is viewed as the object of rearch,together with Multimodal Analysis Video as the instru爱国的优美句子
ment for data collection and data analysis so that attitudinal meaning can be multimodally constructed through interactions of communicative modes.
The thesis is aimed at solving two major problems:one is what the resources’distribution of Attitude under interactions of linguistic and non-linguistic modes is;the other is how modes realize the multimodal construction of attitudinal meaning.As for results,positive Attitude is the main stream,Affect resources playing most dynamically yet Judgement in the least position.Through analyzing data step by step,a multimodal expressing framework of attitudinal meaning comes into being,though its applied scope and influence tend towards further testifying.The rearch results broaden the range of Appraisal Theory and Multimodal Interaction Analysis and provide a new perspective of multimodal Attitude in video discour,helping people better understand video discours.
